{"id":49810,"date":"2020-06-09T00:00:05","date_gmt":"2020-06-09T04:00:05","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.thelamberts.com\/webkinz_blog\/?p=49810"},"modified":"2020-06-09T17:29:15","modified_gmt":"2020-06-09T21:29:15","slug":"strawberry-pie-recipe","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.thelamberts.com\/webkinz_blog\/?p=49810","title":{"rendered":"Strawberry Pie Recipe"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Strawberry Pie Recipe<\/strong> &#8211; <em>from momskinz<\/em><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><br \/>\n<strong>Ingredients:<\/strong><br \/>\nCrust &#8211; homemade if you are dee or a deep dish frozen crust if you are momskinz<br \/>\n3 oz cream cheese (at room temperature or softened)<br \/>\n1+ quart of strawberries (clean &amp; hulled)<br \/>\n1 cup sugar<br \/>\n3 tbl corn starch<br \/>\n8 oz Cool Whip<\/p>\n<p><strong>Directions:<\/strong><br \/>\nBake crust as directed &amp; set aside to cool<\/p>\n<p>Spread cream cheese to cover bottom of the cooked pie crust<\/p>\n<p>Stand whole berries up with removed stem end down as close as possible to each other on crust to cover entire bottom of pie crust<\/p>\n<p>Slice &amp; mash remaining berries &amp; add water to make 1 1\/2 cups of &#8220;berry juice&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Pour berry juice in sauce pan, heat to boil<\/p>\n<p>Mix sugar &amp; corn starch together, then add slowly to boiling juice, stirring constantly, allowing it to dissolve &amp; thicken.<\/p>\n<p>Allow to boil for 1 minute.<\/p>\n<p>Cool thickened berry juice to room temp (on counter or in fridge)<\/p>\n<p>Pour over berries in pie crust<\/p>\n<p>Cover entire top of pie with cool whip<\/p>\n<p>Chill several hours or overnight<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #808080;\"><strong>momskinz&#8217;s notes:<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\nI spread the cream cheese up on the sides just a little to cover where the crust curves from the bottom to the sides to help keep the crust along that crease from getting as soggy.<\/p>\n<p>I use more than a quart of berries if i have them &amp; sometimes end up with just a little water in the juice.<\/p>\n<p>I prefer lite cool whip.<\/p>\n<p>If my berries are super sweet &amp; flavorful, sometimes I reduce the sugar maybe to 3\/4 cup ish.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Strawberry Pie Recipe &#8211; from momskinz<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":91,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[333],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-49810","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-recipes-from-gymbos-friends"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"http:\/\/www.thelamberts.com\/webkinz_blog\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/posts\/49810","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"http:\/\/www.thelamberts.com\/webkinz_blog\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"http:\/\/www.thelamberts.com\/webkinz_blog\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"http:\/\/www.thelamberts.com\/webkinz_blog\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/users\/91"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"http:\/\/www.thelamberts.com\/webkinz_blog\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fcomments&post=49810"}],"version-history":[{"count":4,"href":"http:\/\/www.thelamberts.com\/webkinz_blog\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/posts\/49810\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":49815,"href":"http:\/\/www.thelamberts.com\/webkinz_blog\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/posts\/49810\/revisions\/49815"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"http:\/\/www.thelamberts.com\/webkinz_blog\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fmedia&parent=49810"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"http:\/\/www.thelamberts.com\/webkinz_blog\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fcategories&post=49810"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"http:\/\/www.thelamberts.com\/webkinz_blog\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Ftags&post=49810"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
