Aunt Haley~ It was fun. The beach was on one of the great lakes, beautiful beach, there was a small pier there that we would jump off of. I wish we could go back.

Momz~ It does look nice with the trees and fence, i did that for my Clover Puppys yard too. It was pretty expensive getting all the fences and trees though.

at the very least, cabin camping, lol I have done much camping when I was in scouting.. I served my time, got my badges, lol I am done! Holiday Inn, etc… is the most camping I will do now

Alana,and anyone interested in pursuing any of the arts as a career
always get a degree and work in an area where you can more than support yourself, NOT a waitress, this will give you the money and opportunity to pursue in your art field, and not starve. Have a double major, the art and the job that is going to support you. Art careers like sports, can be very short and/or difficult and even sometimes not possible, or just not happen you need something to fal back on and something to keep you going. This also prevents you from needing to make despret and bad compromises.

The other night dh got up, and walking in the dark, caught the iron leg of an antique treadle sewing machine between his big toe and the next one over. my assigned chores based on age and ability, not on whether we wanted to do X or not
I have always had the girls help with as many things as possible in however they were able to help… the willingness to help stuck mostly, lol now I am.. if you can do it and you have the time, do it because you can..
When we fostered a puppy FFQ was great about helping to clean up after accidents, etc… she wasn’t old enough to help take him out but came along during her awake hours.. to her that was helping, hehe

moms, I hope your throat problems are just sinus related
crazy glad my ice reminder helped. I have to put heat on my bad foot and ankle at least once a day if not twice during the colder months or walking is too painful, driving, etc

on school days, the chores are few but days off.. then yes, they live here, they should help out.. if all help out no one is burdened and then when they have their own place they will know how to take care of things as well as have respect for those who carry the most weight and appreciate what is done for them… need to instill a sense of responsibility for.. chores, home, what it takes to keep things going, those that have the jobs that bring in the money.. how hard people have to work to make the money… life lessons better learned early than harshly when on their own or when a crisis occurs and there isn’t so much anymore.. they understand better when all have to do with less

get Little Guy(our bird) new food and water if needed
alternating load the dishwasher
set the table
clear the table
keep our rooms clean( which happy does not do)
put our clean clothes away and help fold laundry
If we do not do everything we lose part of our additional allowance we get at the end of the month( mainly happy loses money not me)

Patsie, that sound very reasonable. My girls are responsible for taking care of their own things 100%, then help out with setting up for supper, clearing .. when no homework or little… help with laundry… they helped with the pets when we had them… help with the various chores related to the business I had at the time… if no or little homework… help step and fetch for my mom (gramie) if I am busy…
no help, fewer privileges and/or fewer $$ or shopping,
it is a family, everyone is a part, everyone should help on their level

Wish there were babysitting opportunities, my next door neighbors have kids but our next door neighbors don’t exactly em love us. My mom accidently dropped a metal hanger from the dry cleaned clothes in their yard, and um the guy ran over it I guess, so the guy threw it into our driveway. And they always watch us when we get home at like 8pm. They come out and ask us what we are doing if we are taking out the groceries!

Flowiing, Avon has a lovely cream Butler bag now, has sections inside and keeps things orderly, lol it is about $22 or so.. maybe $24 if not on special… you can look at it at the website.. I have a winter one, it is huge.. FFQ is so jealous so I got the spring bag to make her squeal more hehehe

when I was in junior high (yes they had school buildings that long ago, lol) one girl hassled me over having the wrong color bag in the fall.. I had ONE bag, white, it was a hand me down and was glad to have it… I gave her some information… nicely and she never said a word to me or others about such nonsense… we don’t all have the same level of life style and looking donw on others as being out of style for it it … shameful…
she came to sing at one of my Job’s Daughters installations, she was very good

I always dressed up for work and entertained clients after hours too, so I did a small investment in clothing, shoes… not a huge amount.. a couple black, white, red, splurged on a yellow pair to go with a fancy yellow dress.. a couple other pairs.. had them total over 20 years… still have some but they are in storage.
