as a fan of such creatures from way back when Dark Shadows was on TV… the TV shows that I liked and movies… mostly show how the creature who is the main character chooses to live above the “style” of others like himself and goes about being a good person, helping others or in this case, falling in love but wanting this girl to be just as she is… she is special just how she is… he loves his family as well and they are very very close..
it does depend on the story line, which is why I read the books first.. to make sure they were acceptable

not at all, Gwenda 🙂 it is a good plan to be cautious about themes in books, TV, etc… in this case I happened to have read two of the books so far and they are different as are some of the similar theme shows I used to watch… 🙂
this is why I tend to shy away from many of the Disney theme movies.. the girl MUST have a guy come rescue her or she will have no life… blah blah
I had to give in to the artsy theme Barbie movies… Barbie is talented and smart on her own and THEN finds a guy her equal

good day to all!
hey Gwenda!! I would think you are younger than I am, haha I am as old as dirt! Most are younger here. This is a great venue for meeting people.
My mom forbade from watching Dark Shadows as she was afraid that we would have bad dreams. Never did.. we would sneak to watch it… mostly me.. haha I was young at the time.. 7-8 years I think .. maybe.. not sure why I liked the show so much, I was never afraid of what was happening in the story.
The movie The Colossal Man, gave me a night mare… dream he came to my neighborhood, not sure why, came to the alley (wow that is a memory, everyone’s home backed to the alley and that is where we put out our garbage, not in the front yard) and he reached down into our pool to grab me and that is when I woke up.
Interesting and sad how true to life that movie has become. Those poor men irradiated by the testing in real life and the cancers they developed as a result.
