    Gramma- LOL! πŸ˜€ It was really good! and because they live in the middle of the country when the sun went down, it was pitch black an dyou could see alll the stars without the glare of city lights/pollution. I saw Orion’s Belt, the Big Dipper, Little Dipper, Hercules, the Milky Way, Jupiter (BRIGHTEST STAR!), a satellite passing overhead, and a shooting star! It was gorgeous. and it was really warm out still, like 70 (?) degrees at 9pm.

    Gramma- LOL! I never thought of it that way. It was a very cool thanksgiving! Completely silent, too. Peaceful, haha. OH and my friend taught me how to drive, we went through their old cornfields, and around on the dirt road.. I nearly tipped the car LOL.

    I don’t really like Thanksgiving. The food is just not my taste. Mashed potatos, cranberries, corn, and whatever else my mom puts on the table, not really what I like to eat.
    Turkey is okay, but its just okay. I don’t even make myself full on Thanksgiving

    Really now, what determines what life you have is where you were born and who you were born to. Its simple pretty much. In the US, there are SO many opportunities to EVERYONE. If you don’t have a computer, you can still easily get to the computer, school and the library. Its an inconvenience some would say, but in the middle east (or wherever else!) somewhere, walking a few miles to school in not inconvenience. If you are struggling in the US, theres so many ways to get help. A child isn’t dying all the time from starvation.

    Flow- I agree with you, except, some people DON’T get to choose whether they’re fat. Sometimes, it’s just genetics. People who are poor, don’t necessarily choose it, but make bad choices. Others, are born into poverty. It can be very hard for some to get out of poverty, and bad areas. You don’t decide necessarily HOW you want to live, just how you make of it.

    You choose if you are fat, its totally lifestyle choices. Yes, genetics pays a role but its still lifestyle choices. You choose still. Theres people who will gain weight real easily, but they can stay at a healthy weight if they watch of they eat. Its their choose if they can just go along with everything, or get the diet and exercise they need to be healthy

And its those bad choices that sometimes are leading to being poor. so its partly a choice. You decide ‘how you want to live’ because how you want to live is different than how you live.

    But in poorer counties, they actually have better schools. At least in my state, the county I live is, is redeemed as ‘rich’ so we don’t get a lot of money for the state, but in other counties, there is A LOT more technology. They may be starving, but they are dying from starvation

    Look how many programs there are for the unemployment and food for familes like WIC, Women Infants & Children, thats for pregnant women and poor people I guess but they give out free formula and food. Guess what bread they give out?? They don’t give out the 99 or 1.28 cents bread that my mom buys but the $2.50 bread!! The expensive bread! Now how much of a difference is the store brand and the national brand?

    Flow-when I was a child there was time with out hardly any food. When it was lunch time me & my sister would imagine what we were having for lunch. I grew up in America. My church in Michigan ran a mission program to feed families.The food had to be spread evenly. These were VERY thin people WITH kids sometimes barely being able to provide shelter. It’s very hard to get a decent place at all with out credit so they live in motels. You can’t get aid without an address. It’s not a pretty sight.

    i have met plenty of homeless people (from church) !! and with the world in the mess that is is today there are ALOT more out there!!

    when we were looking at a piece of property a while back there were people living in a tent on their property, bc that was all they had left. times are hard. and aren’t getting better for some people. and it happens to people that have kids too. πŸ˜₯

    My sister is in ‘poverty’ but shes a teacher. Shes doing pretty good. Its all about what you consider poverty. She’d be rich in other countries with that money though.

    There are long term programs I am sure. People are LUCKY in the US, I don’t care what state (like not like NY but yeah financially) but really EVERYONE here is lucky. Okay, no one has to worry about bombs or someones gonna kill you because you look different or you practice a different religion.
    No one is going to tell me, not everyone is lucky in the US.

    AMEN DEE!! we NEED & should be counting our blessings EVERYDAY!! when i pray with the kids, i truly try to include things like our house, bed, warm water, sight, taste, touch, smell. the fact that we can walk on our own!! food in our house! the fact that God has allowed my dh to make the money to buy it for us!! we are truly spoiled!!!!! and i mean for the little things!!

    Most of the comments went on after I left and was watching a movie. I don’t think alot of the teens/kids could of known about the pet code incentive.. so yeah… I wouldn’t be surprised if the pet code winner was an adult. there were some exceptions though i guess.
