I’ve started christmas shopping for my sisters! They are getting 3 revlon nail polishes. and revlon beauty tools.
Why am I so generous this year? It’s free. =) And I’ve got all the revlon clearance colors already when they were at 2.50, so now they are 1.24 and I’ve got coupons.

I hate how target cashiers don’t know their own coupon policy. I had coupons that went over the value of the items but I also was buying an concealer brush I was going to use for nail polish clean up. Their coupon policy states you aren’t supposed to get overage, but they gave me overage and it was applied towards my $1 concealer brush. The coupon policy also says, you can adjust the value of the coupon down to the value of the items. I don’t find it my fault for not speaking up and saying ‘Hey, how about I pay a $1 more?’ but I mean the cashiers should know what they are doing.
So I paid .24 for a concealer brush, a pink nail polish, and cheetah print nail files

On the negative side of things…
I went to another target and I’ve got a coupon $3 off a Revlon Cosmetic and a Beauty Tool. I get the SAME EXACT nail file and the same exact nail polish (in the clearance color of course). Theres nothing wrong with the items i am selecting, you see. Its the same exact items!
The register says something like please make sure the customer is purchasing the items when they scan the coupon and they are like ‘Oh you can’t use this. Our computers won’t let us use this’ JUST HIT THE ENTER BUTTON! The computer is just saying you know make sure they are buying a color cosmetic (it had a picture of nail polish on the coupon) and a beauty tool (had a picture of a nail file)
EVEN THOUGH I was buying the SAME exact items. These aren’t some made up printed out coupons, they are CATALINAS! The coupons the REGISTER prints out. THEIR REGISTER PRINTS OUT THE COUPON FOR ME TO USE. Okay. Seriously. Next time I am going to tell them to pick out what items I am supposed to buy.
I’m mad about this. Theres no combination that will allow the coupon to go smoothly.
Then the older woman acted like I had been through the line DOZENS of times, when no. It was twice thank you very much. I’m totally writing customer service because I got the right items. they did let it go through, but I’m mad. Shouldn’t have to fight for me to use my coupons.

I dont like Target no more. Now when I had my 4 yr old niece with me, I had no problem at all. Everyone is like awww. But when I am some horrible teenager where they are probably saying I am clearing off the shelves, its not okay. No one turns down Miss Flow’s coupon, especially when I am getting the same exact items pictured. (even though it does say ANY)
THEN Harris Teeter tried to tell my mom she can’t use a ‘$1 off any Revlon Cosmetic’ so I came over and told them about 3 times, the last time it was real fast ‘It’s in the cosmetics section.’ and they were like “I’ll let you use it this time” Honestly they all act like its coming out of their pocket. Nail Polish is a subcategory of the Cosmetics Category. Okay. Theres no separate section for nail polish.

I get they won’t get their money back if people dont get the right items, but when its the items pictured, Com’on!
Every time I use a coupon, the register spits out the same exact coupon for next time. But you know, gas is expensive, so I go out the door and go back in and get another eyelash curler and nail clipper.

At first I had trouble with some dude saying the
‘$5 off Any 2 Revlon Beauty Tools’ was meant to be used on the tweezer and eyelash curlers. He was adding words to the coupon saying it was ‘Any of the Two’
If it was really for that purpose then it would say
It would say “$5 off the purchase of 2 eyelash curlers or tweezers”
Tomorrow I am getting a binder out and printing off Targets Coupon Policy. As well as Target.com’s definition of beauty tools.

Theres no reason they shouldn’t accept my coupon or any other coupon for the items designated. >_< Its not right when an individual store won't let you use a coupon or when they get stricter.

I’m having kind of a ‘blah’ day again. DH left this morning to go on another fishing trip. He won’t be home until Sunday morning.
Our local community fair starts on Friday which means I’ll be entering items and attending the entire thing alone. π π

Wow. I just did the new treasure hunt and it is hard! It’s a lot harder then the other three treasure hunts were. I didn’t peek at the hints you ladies typed here because I wanted to do it myself. π All the clues were related to the Road Trip though so it wasn’t too hard once you did a search for “road trip” in the search bar.
Speaking of the Road Trip, when do the road trip vans from the contest get sent out? I didn’t get mine yet. π
