Bought a new laptop this morning. Windows 8.1 pre-loaded. Happy to be connected, but dang this will take a WHOLE lot of getting used to. So far, only webkinz and gymbos are in favorites. Firefox is my preferred browser, with IE for logging in webkinz and wf. Not sure how to even find a download for FF. 🙄

I have only tried chrome and safari for WW and chrome seems to work better. For WF I don’t think anything really works “great”

attempted to download FF and it ‘failed’. what’s that about?? 8.1 seems awfully complicated; like…it doesn’t make sense? idk. I got gymbos, webkinz, pandas, and yahoo marked as ‘Favorites’. Also keep looking up top of screen for bar, etc. but nothing is there. Anyone else using 8.1?

Boper, I’m not even sure what the ‘home screen’ is. There’s a screen with bubbles, that I’m guessing is kind of the desktop? if you click the bottom of the screen, in this window showing the blog, tabs pop up and an address bar, and icons for favorites, tool bar, forward, etc. all at the bottom of the screen. Maybe Chrome or Safari will show up looking more like a browser I’m used to. Also need to poke around why Adobe Flash wouldn’t download.
Not complaining, honest. simply an adjustment.

Gramma, I’ve had the mac airbook for over a year now and I’m still “adjusting” (mainly coz I’m more used to PCs than macs). Did it come with support? You might be able have someone walk you thru it over the phone for free.
If you’ve figured out how to take a screen shot on it and post it on the blog, maybe we could help you too.

Hi Zingy! got Chrome and finally managed Flash for FF; so at least the internet looks more familiar and functioning. Not too many bookmark/favorites yet, but I’m working on it.
I only logged in my euro this afternoon and there’s no Spring challenge icon showing. Is it just me?

peekin in………..blah day………late last nite I got crazy chills and fever…..dh gave me some Tylenol cold stuff that tasted horrific and had to run to bathroom to get rid of it (that awful)…..it stayed down and I was out like a light…just punky feeling today………should be good to go tomorrow. have to take main cat to vet to get his mani/pedi and what not….dh made shake and bake chicken and rice a roni for dinner……….glad I keep the cupboard stocked! hoping to make our pizzas tomorrow nite……

happy spring everyone…sunny here, so I will take that
back from main cats appt….he is the coolest cat in the world! when he walked in, all the techs starting yelling his name and ran over to pet him….
he got bloodwork (results tomorrow) his toes done and shots….our vet is the best too……….plus they had free coffee travel mugs! so dh and loaded up on three and some free pens and free flashlights and free suckers….ha ha ha ha ha

Howdy! just finished playing golf on one acct. not used to windows 8.1 or anything about anything. 🙁 lost golf game(as in clicked something and lost the window, not to be found again) part way through ‘3’ different times!!! if you heard screaming in the distance…it was me! 🙄

well I toughed it out and spent 20 minutes to get a set of elwins…then just kept clicking around for another ten minutes to get those residuals and finished six accts!
by residuals, I mean those ones that show up even after you have finished the initial peek…if you keep clickin, more heads appear like you finished the whole thing again…I highly recommend watching tv while you do this…

Well well well…
Be sitting down, not drinking, stable chair…. yes you are allowed yet another laugh at my expense..
I went to count the youngest of the baby hamsters… I count and photograph daily… just to make sure all are doing well and document growth…
So I am searching and finding the babies and removing them and putting them in an old plastic ice cream container.. they are great over a gallon of ice cream and the containers are square.. I use them for food and washing hamster accessories… etc.. now using one to hold the babies… 1-2-3-4… 5-6-7-8… 9-10.. finally .. as some were sleeping in the tubes in the cage… I’m moving the plastic igloo in their cage and mom, Splatt is behind the igloo looked like sleeping and rooting.. then she gets up and teeny tiny pink squiggly things are under/behind her… yes.. so far.. 6 more babies.. could be more now but last count there were 6.. thinking possible one of her sons.. well… bingo bango… and .. mom has 6 new babies.. I need to look up dates to make sure.. they are NOT supposed to be doing such things yet.. the article says so, hahaha bwaa haa haa yeah.. sure…
So FFQ and I sent about half an hour checking the 10 to know boys or girls… takes a bit of great lighting and searching for special girl only identifiers .. did them like 3 times to be sure.. looks like 5 of each.. only have one spare 20 gal long tank and no lid so we cleaned 2 12 gal plastic containers to be temp housing til we go out .. later today, lol, and can get better housing etc…
Yippee skippee… *sigh*

Does renewal for deluxe not subject to promotion mean you don’t get the pet if you auto renew? Our deluxe accounts were purchased last April is it better to turn of the auto renew and do it myself next month?

Why do they have to pick the most annoying games for the challenges?
I made it through the golf on my account not looking forward to helping with the others. At least I final figured out the controls for the last few holes. My younger daughter likes the supermodel game she played it for me on the earlier challenges.

tmt – i always turn off the auto renew so that i can pick when i renew based on the “offers” available – but, if you do that, then apparently you are not grandfathered in on the old pricing for extra deluxe accounts – used to be $5, now i think it is $19.95 – grrrrr!

Never mind about the deluxe renewal I did some more looking on the matter and if I don’t auto renew the bonus accounts will cost $14.99 a piece instead of $5.00 each. Since we have four it wouldn’t be worth it. I missed that when I looked for info couple of weeks ago. I can’t believe how expensive it has gotten compared to what is was when they first introduced deluxe.

Wow that is a lot of hamsters.
My friends and I once bought pet mice at a garage sale they must of had at least thirty baby mice in that tank. I just got one but my friends brother and sister bought two and surprise they ended up with one male and one female. Fortunately their mice only had a litter of five.

haven’t done AP in a while. too many things going on in WW and work atm.
someone said you don’t even need to score in every hole with the golf game. if you finish 18 holes, it’ll award you enough kc to get past the challenge requirement.
the ticket booth is huge and goes inside and out; it’s kinzpostable.

I am just getting my laptop back up and running FF will restore the tabs for me.. at least when I hard shut it down.. which I have to do with the current glitch that the computer repairs guys left me with.. among other problems they left behind.
I had had all auto renewals turned off so I’m really ticked.. I had 5-6 sets of deluxe accounts going .. now.. not so many and I bought the year longs when they were half price, so a few dollars more than the price for the bonus accounts but… I get the estore points and the special item.. and the bonus accounts get nadda. Each time for deluxing is on sale I will buy as many as I can and then 3 monthers for other accounts.. get estore points for them too and I buy when they have a special item perk..

Yikes for sure, Momsk, the one hamster mommy.. 16 babies plus 3 from the other mommy.
In the hamster babies FFQ and I separated last night we found one goof.. a girl in with the boys so she was relocated 🙂 BUT, the other mommy, one of her babies was.. checking her out, if you get my drift and they are past nursing age. I scooped that baby out and did another check and.. yes a boy, so we moved him in with the little boys and watched them for a while to make sure they would all get along. I put scents from both previous cages in so it was homey to them all.

I was gone so much of today that I am now playing rubberband fetch with Ezzy at nearly 5am lol cuddled her earlier.. snuggling still to come. She doesn’t sulk when I get home, from being away from her but she does try to make up for lost time 😉
