Congratulations huggable!! So much talent! 😃 👍

Don’t quite understand a lock picking course, but it’s wonderful your girls are so versatile in their activities. That isn’t sarcasm, I really mean it. 🙂

Thank you so much Momskinz I didn’t expect to be home until about 6:00 but we got done early, got home about 4:50.

We were at the Makers Faire which is why they were at a locking picking demonstration. It was right next to a solder your own led pin station. They also saw a black smith, many 3D printers, a star wars reenactment group, got to knit and make goo. Plus a bunch of other stuff. We have been attending it the last three years. http://makerfaire.com/

It is really cool Gramma it is this conglomeration of computer technology, art, handy crafts and small business plus lots of hands on stuff for kids.

I haven’t been able to do embroidery for few years but I started a small project with some help from a volunteer there and I think I can finish it. I am very excited.

Momz, Prayers and Hugs for you and 90.

tmt5, that MakersFaire looks fantastic and there will be one in our area in the Fall. So cool!

Chickadee and DH are at ComicCon this weekend. It’s her reward for being in the top ten of her graduating class. Proud mama brag here that’s not top 10% that’s top ten graduates! 🙂 Chickadee is over the moon because we got her a special package and she gets to have her photo taken with Rory and Amy from Dr. Who. She is all decked out in her Tardis dress for the event. 🙂 DH is just a big kid and was so happy to go because he’s gets to see William Shatner from Star Trek.

My two favorite geeks love me enough to allow me to stay home. They say I’m missing all the fun but I am enjoying the alone time and the silence. 🙂

That is so neat Stagemom! I was treasurer and then president of my university’s Star Trek Club. We love Dr. Who too. YD just got a Dr. Who back pack, lunch box and a sweater to wear with her Thor dress for the first day of school. We have never been to a ComicCon. DH isn’t interested but OD has said she is taking YD and I when she gets old enough. We had to get YD a white tank top to wear with the dress it is cut a little low for her.

    tmt5 Chickadee is wearing this:
    http://www.thinkgeek.com/product/193c/?itm=126623446845custom0t-shirts_%26_apparel%26custom1dresses_skirts_%26_leggings%26id&rkgid=1844235346&cpg=ognone&source=google_none&adpos=1o2&creative=50718226965&device=c&matchtype=&network=g&gclid=CNON2Oeq98YCFQYvaQod6bgPSg

That Thor dress is totally adorable! I cannot for the life of me understand why they make everything so low cut or too short? Don’t clothing companies realize that the schools all have dress codes? Chickadee had to wear leggings with most skirts and dresses because they are almost always too short and tank tops under almost all the shirts. So frustrating!

  19. 19 tmt5 said,

    July 25, 2015 @ 6:48 pm

I already bought her leggings to wear with it too, in her case the dress is intended for Juniors, it is a little big on her so the length isn’t an issue but our typical weather is. Great Tardis dress.

Thanks guys! I promise that my purple googles doesn’t actually have a deformed flipper face like it does in that pic, I had switched the beak and flipper around as a joke in that photo haha. Nope, I haven’t gotten my prize yet. I’ll post a screenshot once I do!

She got this jacket too. http://www.hottopic.com/hottopic/Marvel+Her+Universe+Captain+America+The+Winter+Soldier+Black+Widow+Girls+Zip+Jacket-10173254.jsp
(We had some coupons and there was a sale.)
She had wanted to be Hawkeye or Black Widow but all the costumes I can find are either too small or too big. Apparently the costume people don’t think tweens want to dress up as Avengers.

  23. 23 tmt5 said,

    July 25, 2015 @ 7:07 pm

Oops, of course they picked the joke photo. I didn’t even notice until you pointed it out. The lines on the beak just give it a nose like quality. Beautiful job on the stitching.

My girls love Hot Topic .. some of the stuff is great, very expensive, and I hate the ultra loud ‘music’ … we only shop the sales. The girls want the cute dresses and I ditto the low cut, super short .. not appropriate for girls under 90 … 😉 and school dress codes, my girls can’t wear leggings with the dresses… if the dress is too short too bad don’t wear it .. not even with regular pants. Leggings too tight fitting etc….

She has made PB78 feel like she is not important and is in the way and deserves no respect. She tries to bully me and lie her way … when I don’t comply she gets mean. *sigh* BOB just better recover fast so she can go home.

32 kinzgramatheart, Chickadee is actually starting off at a community college then attending a local college. She doesn’t want to leave home even to go to college. She wants to study Mortuary Science and luckily we have one of the top schools in the nation here. We always thought she would do something in the medical/science field but never thought about Mortuary Science. (shivers) I guess someone has to do it and it definitely offers job opportunities because eventually everyone passes.
She became interested in it when she did volunteer work at a wildlife center. She worked their kids camp one summer and ended up talking a lot to one of the intake vets. Chickadee wasn’t keen on seeing all the injured wildlife that came in and decided she couldn’t deal with the emotions of the injured/sick not getting well. She began assisting with necropsy which is the autopsy of animals and was fascinated. She said it allows her to do the science/medical stuff she enjoys without worrying about the patient not getting better, because they are already dead. (shivers again).

It’s definitely the 2012 touring van – I found one I already have in my dock, krafty.

And it’s a good one to have in your dock if you need a few points to fill a heart:

If it’s the first time you place an item in your room (and vehicles count), it gives you 1 point.

For every new room you ride your pet into with a vehicle, you get 1 point.

The advantage of the touring van is it’s in the beginning of furniture items so it’s readily available without having to scroll thru other items.

DH says these are the people teaching the lock picking and why.

    http://toool.us/

The mission of the Open Organisation Of Lockpickers is to advance the general public knowledge about locks and lockpicking. By examining locks, safes, and other such hardware and by publicly discussing our findings we hope to strip away the mystery with which so many of these products are imbued.

The more that people know about lock technology, the better they are capable of understanding how and where certain weaknesses are present. This makes them well-equipped to participate in sportpicking endeavors and also helps them simply be better consumers in the marketplace, making decisions based on sound fact and research.

It is a common problem for renewals with bonus accounts you just have to call they can tell if you got the code or not and they will give you one right over the phone. I have had to call the last two years to get the code. Make sure you got the w hot air balloon before you call. We got the balloon OK but I had to ask for the one from the year before the gondola. Check your estore account first to make sure the code is not there before you call.
