I got my haircut on Saturday and colored over the silver, we’ll see how well that holds. Usually a demi will last me about 6 weeks before the roots really begin to show.

leftovers actually tonite……..dh went on a kfc binge earlier when he took our cans and oil in for recycling……..money for the cans!

Had a hair appointment after work yesterday.. did not cook for Fat Tuesday..
stopped and picked up a salad….

Single digits this morning again…. Expected to warm up by the weekend..and looking forward to a bit more daylight with the time change !

It’s cold here too! It’s in the teens. And I do not have to go out today. yea!
I love the leprechaun gift! So adorbs!!! But then, I pretty much love all the little houses.
Hubby did great at rehab. And he is already walking without his cane! Kinda wobbles a little like a duck, but that will get better too. He just carries the cane, just incase lol..

I had to go into Marshalls last night to pick up some more hyaluronic acid and vit. C stuff for my face, hubby stayed in car..I came out and he was in drivers seat !!
He drove home! First time driving since last april.. ! But dr. Said he could when he was ready..he was very happy to be able too, though his leg was tired and a little achy when we got home. I’d also bought him a huge bottle of really good body moisturizer..winter, diabetes, and stress of what he went through gave him very dry skin. I gave him a good slathering .boy did he need it !

I also picked up a matching sugar scrub to exfoliate him. He loves being treated to spa treatments at home..he also asked me if I would dye his hair and shape his brows. Yes, my dh loves to be groomed by me..and I don’t mind helping him look a little younger, it makes him feel better, he’s only 52 and his hair has been grey since his early 40s. Family genetics. If you’d met him you’d never think he’d like any of that stuff..lol
But I like that he cares about how he looks. Yet isn’t ocd about it either.

So, after we got comfortable and ready to watch some Netflix.. he asks me if I’d ever seen the ads for the airbrush makeup…seriously..lol I had, so he started asking questions..would I like to try it, did I think it really worked etc. Yes it works, been around a LONG time, and woukd love to try it, but I thought it way too expensive. Seriously expensive. He talked about it to me for over an hour straight. The man was on a mission!

He actually, against my better judgement, talked me into trying it..apparently I don’t do makeup enough anymore..and it makes him sad. He’d noticed how long it takes for me to apply it these days. Having lupus makes my skin very sensitive, plus with fibromyalgia and pain issues it does slow me down a lot..and so yeah, I don’t spend the time I used to on me. And he misses it. I didn’t realize how bothered he was by that.
He actually kinda guilted me into saying yes.

This is a new side to dh. And if it’s something he really wants, how can I say no? Sooo, then he gets on phone and orders it..when offered a big discount for full payment, plus offered extras by getting the professional and most expensive machine upgrade, he does that too..ugh! My man needs a hobby besides watching tv and info commercial..seriously. he talked to the woman for almost an HOUR! And found out she’s used it for over 20 years herself. And she gave him discounts and a few extras not offered usually.

I actually have a group of older woman I met first year on internet through a game called slingo. We liked each other so much, similar humor, that we found ways to exchange emails. This was 1999! I am still very goid friends with them. We still get in touch, and even talk live through messenger these days. I’ve even been asked to come stay with a few. One lives in Australia. .I wish I coukd travel to meet her. Hubby said we might go visit a few that live here in US .and said if he can, and I want hell ship me to Australia. .so it may happen.yet.

WOOHOO! Hiya, all!
Forgive any typos- I’m typing on my new computer! (UGH its awful, though. I got so spoiled using the Mac. This laptop is plactic-y, slow, gumpy, and the keyboard is weird. I’m thinking of calling it “Dumas”, because it’s a real Dumb^$%.)
The floors are IN! And they look LOVELY! I’ll see if I can figure out how to post them somewhere to share. It took 3.5 ENTIRE DAYS with no breaks to install them, baseboards, quarter-round moulding, and touch up paint. Mom and Stepdad left today, and everyone (including them) is exhausted.
Also, how brutal is this groundhog/leprechaun thing going to be? It sounds like catching Doug the Dog- and I catch Doug once every 5-6 MONTHS!

I don’t think I’ve mentioned this particular group to my boyfriend, but he’s aware of my internet friends. I have some friends from the uk I talk to on whatsapp and my old dct friends from webkinzinsider on Snapchat. Crazy how the internet works. Been friends with some of them for almost 10 years. It’s feels like some of us grew up together because in a way we did. Been on here (on and off) for over 10 years now too.

Oh Dee, it was -12 here, today … that’s 10 whole degrees of yours. People were coming in to pick up parcels in their Long Sleeved shirts, not quite T-Shirt weather, yet. However, they would be wearing T-shirts if it was in the High forties, for sure! Even shorts. So, yes, that is definitely considered balmy, here. Guys will go and golf in 45 degree weather, here. Even if the Green is still brown.
Our conversion for 90 degrees would be somewhere around the 32 mark THAT is sweltering already. Time to get out the AC. We won’t see those temps till June at the earliest. We usually have snow on the May long weekend. (ours in on May 20th, this year. Yours is on May 27th) BUT it signals the beginning of camping weather and you wouldn’t believe how many people actually go out for that weekend to camp.

Life has been busy!
Thanks for the birthday wishes! Had a low key day! Went out to eat with DH the night before my birthday. We had a brunch on my actual birthday (Sunday). The only presents I received on my birthday were from my friends here. Thanks, Cheese & Gaga! DH is giving me gifts this week. Balloon, card and flowers yesterday. Not sure when he will give my present. LOL! I asked for the Poldark DVD’s. Things have been up in the air because of d-i-l’s surgery. Although surgery went well she has had some ups and downs. Went to ER on my birthday with high fever & blood pressure. Admitted to hospital on Monday, but all is under control now. She was released on Wed. to go home. Yay! With all of that going on, the headaches that I’ve been having, and busy schedule, it has been difficult to keep up with WW and my WW online friends.
Enchanted – I prayed for snow on my birthday but we got rain. It looks like you got my birthday prayer answered in your area! Glad you dh is doing well with compression socks, rehab and overall outlook!
Moms – Hope you are enjoying your new haircut and the blooming daffodils!
Puma – Congrats on new flooring and new computer!

I’m also sorry if I sound like I’m bragging. I don’t mean to. Honestly I’ve seen how crappy some guts can be. I had one really bad guy between my two good husbands!
I was the one he took home to daddy..showed off to friends..he came from a well off family, treated me so good..I thought I’d gone to heaven.!
He had a yaght went out on the river and over to port jeff new York just to party..stuff like I’d never done before..loved it.
Then one night about a week before moving in I got a call from one of his friends..said do you know where he is?
I didn’t but I got clued., fast.
He was using the yaght as a bordello. Different girls everytime he got a chance!
He was on a hook up site on internet..I went down caught him myself.
gave him a right hook and knocked him on his butt in front of all our boating friends..who I might add clapped and hooted in my favor!
I went back to his apartment packed my stuff up..went downstairs, said a tearful goodbye to his sweet dad..and yup I told him why..he was not happy, tried to actually bribe me into staying as he was planning our wedding! Lol I hadn’t even been proposed to yet..but his dad told me it was planned..WOW..
ummm yup, NO.
I have respect for me..
After that trust came hard.. I saw a doctor every 6 months for testing for two years before I knew I was ok and safe to have a relationship. .
My now hubby actually went to school with the guy..told me he’d ruined a very sweet girl in highschool. .got her hooked on stuff..
It took my hubby quite awhile before you know..lol
But he’s always said..that was what caught him hook line and sinker..my self respect and strength..
So yeah, we all get a frog in our lives..sometimes more then one..sad to say.

I’ve been watching victoria on masterpiece on PBS and saw they had been airing Poldark on that channel too..but I missed the beginning..And I’m waiting for the prices to go down on the Downton abbey series so I can get the dvds and watch that too.. I love period dramas.

And it’s a whole 19 degrees at midnight here. And it is supposed to get into high 40s during the days this coming week..

I just crawled in the tub to get my bones warmed up..
After we ate I made 200 jello shots for friends bday party tommorrow night. 6 flavors. It’s what she wanted for her gift silly friend! Lol and I made her a special frozen gummy bear pop. The bears get soaked in vodka overnight. She has wanted to try one since she saw recipe for it on facebook! So I made one as a surprise just for her..praying it comes out right..never made one before.
