Love the mouse names! Creative, Dee! And I also like the choice of Fields, Moms.
Gaga…enjoy your new pet, Julius Cheezer!
I am not up to speed on why Dr. Seuss books are offensive. They seem to me to be part of the make-believe world. Too bad Dr. Seuss is not around to give his point of view. I feel that his intentions were good and I often felt that lessons were being taught about how to break down prejudices. I may have to look this up….
Good Morning ! April.. really nice to see you ! I hope the change in weather will help with the blahs ! It seems like it has been a long winter but Spring is just a few weeks away ! I am not sure if we have seen the last of the snow but knowing that later sunsets and more daylight helps for me ! I am now working three days a week and so far have enjoyed the extra time off…. not sure if it would be good for me to have too much time off though……..Happy that your dh and Stella can enjoy getting out to run ! Sheba.. when you figure out why they feel Dr. Seuss books are offensive ..let me know.. I don’t see it.. I grew up with most of his books and loved them ! moms..you are your mom’s motivation to get better ! I am sure all of the treats you bring mean a lot too ! My sister is getting her second vaccine tomorrow ……..We are planning a road trip to Amish in 2 weeks to celebrate.. It has been so long we are already making a list of things to look for…. not to mention lunch at our favorite restaurant… Hope you all have a nice day !

We are expected to have lots of sun today but temperatures in the 30’s ! I guess will use a bit of time to try and get new prizes on PAN ! Hope you all have a good day !
moms—Yeah, I’m pretty sure it’s my slow a$$ old computer. LOL Well, we have the sunshine, just waiting on those flowers. I planted about 75 tulip bulbs last fall, we shall see how many come up this spring. Enjoy the daffodils!
Hi Sheba—Nice to see you too! I don’t get the Dr. Seuss thing either. Will probably buy the ones I don’t have yet from when I was little.
gaga—Nice to see you too! I’m sure I’ll come out of my funk now that I’m not buried in work. Looking forward to seeing my tulips come up that I planted in the fall. Amish country to celebrate sounds wonderful!
The reason they chose to stop publishing certain Dr. Seuss books is because the illustrations showed outdated and offensive racial stereotypes. There has been controversy surrounding them for many years. Those types of illustrations have no place in children’s literature. Still waiting to hear back from one school. I saw someone online say they received an acceptance for the program, so I most likely didn’t get in. It seems that some programs only prioritize communication with those who have been accepted and get back to everyone else when they feel like it. It’s frustrating because many people hold off on making a decision until they’ve heard from every school, so making people wait unnecessarily to hear about a rejection (or waitlist) just delays them from accepting/declining an offer, which delays notifying people from the waitlist. Anyways, I got tired of waiting and accepted an offer from a different school. I like the program a lot better and the funding is generous. There are some things I don’t like about it (no health insurance!), but overall, the program is a better fit for me.
