Good Morning All
Last week of July… so hard to believe !
moms.. Hope all is going well.. When is moving day ? Are you feeling any better
The ” W ” prizes don’t look new.. Did not see any floating by this morning.
Getting ready to pick himself up and head to OSU ! All went well yesterday.
I know both kids will be able to carry on… with lots of good memories..
There was a good turn out… many of his bicyclist friends.. neighbors who I am sure had many good memories to share… My niece was sporting two new tattoos !
dee.. your recipe sounds really good ! I am glad you have some good ideas for your dd… Know how you like to shop early !

So now I am also not feeling 100%. Happens when I am too worn down. Hopefully I can fight it off, so much to do. But relaxing and trying to catch up on sleep today to try and get over it quickly.

dee-really glad you got some good ideas for holiday shopping. You are inspiring me to get an early start this year. Ours will have to be creative and on the lighter side since we will be traveling back here for it.

Sheba.. Happy you enjoyed your weekend ! Hope you can avoid getting Covid..
so many people getting sick right now. I was able to get himself back to OSU and get him stocked up with groceries and settled in before his next visit.
I found it so interesting that he has started a letter writing campaign…Contacted many of his high school classmates and friends and invested in old fashion sealing wax.. the stamps that go with it and the ink pens.. Has gotten many responses from classmates and he is enjoying staying in touch with them.. and saving all of the letters. Keeping him busy and connected !
Topaz… doesn’t seem like there are many W’s floating but I guess I don’t mind because there really isn’t a prize that I don’t already have.
dee… I really liked the sound of your chicken and noodle casserole.
I am not really into the jalapeo peppers.

Feeling better today. Thank you all so much for the well wishes. I got an ice pack around midnight, and my fever broke between then and when I woke up. The migraine was the worst part, but so much better today. Thank goodness, because I have way too much to do. Going to take it easy today. My body is still tired, so figure it needs one more day of rest.
moms-I have done that too with buying stuff. I forget to make sure the item I want is clicked instead of the item it’s on. I know this last week of moving is crazy for you, so thanks for checking in on us.
qos-hopefully you can avoid it. Smart to make sure you are getting enough sleep. My friend (in another state) has it currently, her first time getting it, and she is really sick.
gaga- I love the idea of letter writing. It’s a lost art, and nice to hear himself has taken on a project to keep his mind busy. You two have a very special relationship and he is lucky to have you.
topazz-I wish they would bring some of the older stuff back as prizes as well. I guess one positive is that at least I don’t have to sit aroung waiting for the floating w’s. 🙂

gaga—yes, new lawyer is working out well. Finally have some things moving. We were able to get my aunts house on the market. Although my bro learned a big lesson ( I hope. ) We had an offer before it went on the market and he countered thinking he could get more money and they walked away. Now we are having no luck getting any offers. I wasn’t able to be there in Mich. to help clean out the house or do any of the painting, so I’m just letting him run with the sale. You live, you learn. I just feel sad and my SIL is back to being difficult, so…yeah. Sorry your not so involved bro is scheduling showings while your other bro is still living there. That’s not cool. But you are so right…I just try and keep my mouth shut and what will be, will be. I hope your bro found another place to live that he likes. I will keep himself in my thoughts and prayers. Glad you all have each other to lean on. I’m sure with him living on campus he can take his time getting his license.
moms—My goodness! You are in my thoughts and prayers as well! I very much remember how stressful it is moving and you had no time. I hope you are feeling better and everything is going smoothly. I did the same thing last time we moved. Once we got in the new house and unpacked essentials…I took my time unpacking everything else and got some rest. The oprah gifting was hilarious! 🙂
cmpets—Glad to hear you are starting to feel better. Thoughts and prayers on your move too. Glad you are able to stop in TX to see friends. That is a long trip, good to break it up a little.
sheba—Sounds like you had a nice weekend visiting. Happy to hear you were able to avoid getting sick. I hope your granddaughter is recovering well.
dee—We make a version of those jalapeno poppers. We add a roll of uncooked breakfast sausage to the cream cheese mixture. Cook ’em for 40 mins. We call them dragon turds. 🙂 yummy!
topaz—I know, the prizes for a lot of stuff lately just doesn’t interest me because i already have them. But then I’m glad i don’t have to sit and wait for floaties. 🙂
I managed to finish the last season in the nick of time. I does feel like a chore some days. I kinda wish they would make it a little easier. I get they need to make money, but it’s supposed to be fun. And It’s so difficult to earn money on Next. I bought a couple cows when they went on sale and you don’t get much KC from adoptions either. I farm and play some games and grow the flower thing, but then I buy a rare and there goes all the cash. Oh well, off to the farmers market!

rainy here and i finished my book and the sherlocks i had
the chicken casserole was actually decent
i used the no sodium cream of chicken and for some reason got it confused with another recipe, so i had thawed peas and carrots and threw them in
tasted good today and will probably be better tomorrow as that is how casseroles work………can easily be halved
i added some garlic powder and onion powder as we like stuff with a little more oomph
def keeping it in my folder of recipes………which will go out to highest bidder upon my demise

I am checking in because I can’t concentrate on my grading.
I have been watching Get Smart because we are close to using all of our data for the month. I hate being charged extra.
I am on the lookout for the green popstar dress from the Alvin and the chipmunks promotion. I hope to find it as an hourly deal at PJ outlet.

Hello! Checking in before I go to bed!
This day just flew by. I am in the process of washing a lot of toys that I found in the garage so lil’ girl can play with them. Plus, I brought home a bunch of toys from my moms (her old daycare collection). She has sold a lot, but I probably brought back 1/4 of it. I’m overflowing with material goods. One of the containers is a “tile” collection from my childhood that has lots of special memories for me! I played with it for hours and hours. It was one of my favorite activities. It will be a while before lil’ girl can play with it.
The thought of Christmas is FAR from my mind, Dee. Plus, I’m not really wanting to buy more stuff or receive more stuff.
Ordered the last of the furniture for our screened-in porch today. I will be glad to have that part done!
The thought of ever moving is also FAR from my mind! Yet I realize that it could be coming up at some point. We have a lot of house for just the two of us. SO….I need to be conscious of that and intentional about what I need to keep and let go.

Good Morning All !
April … Happy that things are going well with the new lawyer.. I’m sure that is helpful in settling at least the legal issues… I’m sorry your brother did not take the offer but hopefully the right buyer will come along. My mom’s place has not sold yet but I am still hopeful that it will happen soon.. Will be really upset if it goes for a price I could have afforded… but needs quite a bit of work and I’m not sure it would be possible for me to take on the expense. I just know that it was our gathering place for family Sunday’s and miss cooking and visiting… My brother has completely moved out and seems ok with his new place… He would have liked a small house instead of a condo but housing prices here are still ridiculous… I am sure in the long run it will all work out.
Topazz… I have one of the dresses for you but unsure if you are on my friend’s list… What is your WW id…. I did not have any friends listed as Topaz
moms… How exhausting in must be but happy that you have some great movers/packers to help ! Your comment about your tennis shoes made me chuckle… You have probably put 100,000 miles on them ! Hopefully you were able to get a good night’s sleep… and ready for a new day today.
Sheba..How fun for you to find a favorite childhood toy and when your granddaughter is old enough you will be able to share with her.. My favorite toy was a dog named Buttons.. Had multiple buttons ( looked light cash register ) and each one the dog performed a different trick.. My most vivid memory is that when pressing the barking button his ears raised up and down and Buttons barked.. so cute !
Letter writing is truly a lost art.. but he is so in to catching up with friends and them actually writing back ! I think I may have mentioned previously but he wrote me an actual heartfelt letter which I still have displayed on my breakfast bar and every so often will reread…
