Sure is cold here !
Dishwasher fixed… but needed part was discontinued… so repairman ballywacked the broken piece with epoxy and asked that I wait 24 hours to start dishwasher… he thinks it will work for awhile so we’ll see.
moms.. did you take a look at the upcoming Seed Box that e store is asking ninety nine dollars for five of ? See some cute items but not worth the price !
Will wait until release date in July..

Gaga – At least your repair person tried to fix it and came up with a temporary solution. This happened to us last summer and the repair guy said the same (unreplaceable part) and charged us $100+ for the service call. He did nothing!
We ordered a new dishwasher, but then my dh started playing around and he “fixed” it with cardboard, so we canceled our order. He made a cardboard shape to match the broken piece…and so far it is still working! I put “fixed” in quotations to tell my view of it….that it is a temporary fix. Yet….I am amazed.

Sheba… I really like the appliance repairman…always able to fix everything and really is very reasonable… he is talking about retiring but gave him his cell phone number as he says he will still do some work on the side .. Hasn’t committed to retirement yet but worth his weight is gold !
All of my appliances were purchased when I had this place built and all aging at the same time….just like me ! ( LOL )
Heard on the radio yesterday that Bob Dylan’s 82nd birthday was yesterday !
I almost drove off the road in disbelief !

Hello all, sorry it’s been a week or two since I’ve stopped by. I start a post and get busy and distracted and figure I’ll start over…. It’s always a little crazy this time of year for us. Dh is actually home this week!
gaga—Wow, your friend with the Mastiff/Corso mix has got a big pup! 72 lbs. at five months! That is going to be a big boy. Sorry I missed the Preakness contest! RL and work have been getting the better of me lately. I did see that Jim Brown had passed. He was clearly remember as one of the greats. That’s awesome you get to have your brother close for the summers now. Stella is going great. Since DH is home he runs with her in the morning when it’s still cool. She loves it. And she’s still loving sunning herself on the deck. But she really doesn’t like it when it gets hot, she comes inside for the afternoon and naps in her chair. 🙂
moms—I’m trying to control myself with these boxes too. LOL Your bathroom is so cute! I love that purple vanity, it goes perfectly with the theme colors.
sheba—I did the same as moms with the collection event. I usually do three rounds, but life is too busy for me too. But I did do some extra side accounts so I could have extra rugs. I am so impressed your dh fixed your dishwasher with a piece of cardboard! That’s awesome.
dee—Happy to hear you had a good trip to your dd’s graduation. My dh likes to get up and out early when we travel too, but wow, that was early. I love when I get to sleep in my own bed after being gone.
Topazz—I have gotten some blueberry seeds, but like moms, way more benches then I could ever need. It sure feels like they are being a little stingy with them.
cmpets—Congrats on the winning horse! Love the name Boone and so fun you got a deal on all his new room goodies! Good luck on the job search.
I absolutely love the new flowers in next. But the weekly challenges seem like way more work than they used to be. I’ve found the ladybug once. I’ll wait around the main outdoor area for 4 or 5 minutes for the little flowers to pop up, but that’s it. I have no time to look for that ladybug that never shows up.
Off to the farmer’s market and treasure chest!

we are dining on ribs and chicken and burgers this weekend. dh wants potato salad, so that will be forthcoming after kroger trip….i want a piece of apple pie, so you know what that means!
also need to make some white bean hummus! had some in boston. had made it before but was long time ago. anyone have a recipe to share?

hello all!
talking about the appliance repairs makes me want to be able to use a 3D printer – so many things like that should be able to be reproduced, but cardboard is clever!
gaga – at least you get the points, those boxes are supposed to be the extras, but i agree – too high a price! now if i had a 50% off points code . . . LOL

I got the cherry blossom tree swing & the cherry blossom flowering pond. I don’t understand why there is a bench in front of the pond, though. Wouldn’t one want to be facing the pond while sitting on a bench. That was my least favorite item….so it doesn’t surprise me that I got it. But I’m happy with the swing.

dee.. thanks for the link for NEXT wacky…. They seemed to have made the Wacky arcade game a little more difficult again… but did get one trophy stand so I’m done with that ! lots of floating wacky foods ! Just need the chocolate to make the lamp.

April… nice to see you ! Happy you and Stella are doing well… I found the ladybug much more available lately… not so much the first couple of days.
I think there may have been a glitch… which seems fixed.
I think I may have mentioned a golden retriever that I recently met while walking… so friendly and loves to get treats… He is recovering from extensive lung surgery for cancerous tumor… I was them out walking yesterday and his mom is so worried because he has started coughing again..She is concerned that tumor may have come back.. Feel so badly for her…We have all been faced with the loss of our pets and know how difficult it is. He is eleven and not sure how much more they can do for him.

Meeting GA brother for lunch… I stopped to see him yesterday at his new home…needs quite a bit of TLC but he is happy to have gotten a place to be “home” … everything else will take time but so difficult to buy while living in another state and virtual pictures only. Pictures very deceiving..

I’ve gotten mostly pedestals. And a beach towel on both accounts.
I played the Dragon Stones game on my PC last night. The arrow keys help the objects to come down faster. I also use them to make something fit under something by hitting the left or right arrows.

moms-Sorry about your luck with the boxes. It’s why I only ever buy one. They are too expensive to not get the prize I want. So whatever prize I get, that’s it. I should go back through and make a list in case someone on here would like something I have. Might be nice to have a matching item. Although usually I think I get the balloons, I have 2 yards full.
qos-I haven’t paid attention to the wacky prizes, I don’t think I have seen the beach towel. And I only play the games I have to for the Season, but played that Dragon one same way as you.
gaga-That is how our dog died. He had a cough, was already too late by the time his cough started and we took him in. We had about another month with him. One of my closest friends knew immediately to take hers in because she knew the cough symptom, still too late for hers as well. Maybe your new friend will be luckier, will send good thoughts.
Can’t believe it’s so cold there you need heat. I will send some of this AZ heat your way. Actually why we are prolonging going home, still cold there (for us) and I enjoy Summer, so will put up with the heat here a bit longer.
dee- Thanks for the link, have not paid attention to that at all. I wish everything wasn’t so expensive on Next. It would be more fun if you couls buy pets or create babies a little more often. Takes forever to collect enough diamonds, especially since I never see the ghost.
april-The ladybug was elusive. I think I still need one more. Sometimes I am too impatient to walk around and look. The flowers are nice, but they also either pop up right away, or I never see them. And don’t get me started on the ghost.

Couldn’t find any flowers today so I gave up! I’m done with the ladybug. Managed to get what I needed. I also finally achieved 75 points for the Cake It up game, which is so difficult for me. I have finished all the goals surprisingly.
I was awarded 30 extra points on one account which I verified with my notes. I just couldn’t understand it because both of my accounts were at the same place. About a half an hour later, my points somehow adjusted to the right amount. Not sure how that happened, but glad to know that I’m not going crazy.
