Sunday is the closing ceremony for the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, so we will celebrate the end of the GymbOlympics with a Webkinz Comment Contest!

Prizes include patriotic items & other virtual Webkinz items!  You must add Kinzheads to your Webkinz World friends list & include your WWID in your name on your comments.  No jibberish, please!

Starting August 15, Webkinz World is introducing an exciting new feature: Building Kits! When you purchase a Building Kit from the W shop you get to collect Building Materials from your friends to create great new items!

The new Building Kits include this awesome Log Cabin.

Here’s how you build it:

– Visit the W Shop where you can see which Building Materials are needed to complete the Log Cabin.
– Purchase the Log Cabin Building Kit, place it in your pet’s room and click on it to start the building process. You’ll see the list of required Building Materials you need to request from your friends.
– Ask your friends for Building Materials through the Message Center.
– As you collect the right Building Materials you can begin to build your Log Cabin in stages. You’ll see your Log Cabin transform before your very eyes as it progresses through four stages of completion.
– When you’ve collected enough Building Materials from friends it’s time to finish your Log Cabin.
– Timber! Now you have a cool Log Cabin you can display in your pet’s room! When you click on it your pet will go inside and warm up by the fire.

There are lots of other cool building kits to choose from! And watch throughout the year for special Building Kits, such as holiday Building Kits, that will be available for limited times only. Before your Building Kits are fully built, the Building Kit can be sold back to the W Shop. Once it’s complete you can’t sell the Log Cabin but it can be traded or sent through KinzPost to friends.

Building Kits let you create great new items with help from your friends. Building Kits will be available to purchase in the W Shop.
