i called a local market & went there instead for my peaches – the price wasn’t much more than if i had driven to the orchard myself & the gas would’ve cost me even more than the difference
now i have about 25 pounds of peaches that i need to peel, slice, etc. I’m freezing them – no canning for this girl 😉

wow, 25 lbs. that’s a lot of peaches!
we did our canning over the weekend and it went well. we now have a dozen jars of assorted items (dilly beans, peach bbq sauce, stone fruit chutney, bread n butter pickles, dijon mustard, herbed red and white wine vinegars).

Someone blogged about our canning and pickling day. Lots of pictures including our final products, dinner and the cookies and sorbet I brought. I veered away from the plan when I came upon the chocolate sorbet recipe. And for good reason-who wouldn’t love the equivalent of a frozen chocolate mousse on a summer’s day? The cookies were very popular too-last time the hostess didn’t want to keep sweets from the previous potluck but she was delighted to have the leftovers from this one.

They’re delicious too! We had some of the peach BBQ sauce over grilled chicken on Saturday and some of the bread and butter pickles with ribs for dinner last night. Here I was worrying about the seal on the cans but at this rate we’ll probably polish ’em all off pretty soon.

Hi everyone..just popping in for a minute.
I have a problem in WW I can do everything except enter my rooms and I bought some estore items which they locked the codes for some reason and the only thing I put in was the pet I bought I got the rocker dog. Now I am wondering whats going on becasue when I try to go into my rooms I get a pinypon screen! anyone else experiencing this??

the pros and cons of the printer i mentioned went to spam.
i’ve had it for a year and it works great with either direct or wifi connection and have only needed to change the toner once so far.

I just posted about 5 new rooms to my WI House Thread. I was on a roll today. I designed two rooms for some WI contests, including a Christmas in July BBQ room and a scene from a Harry Potter book. I chose the scene when Hermione is making Polyjuice Potion in the bathroom during the second book.
I’m really impatient to find out what the new Jumbleberry prizes are. I hope that once some people with Asian accounts hit midnight we will be able to find out. I really love that theme, even though I don’t have many pieces from it yet.

update on camera system:
apparently the police are having a field day with the across the street neighbors lol I saw them there 3 times today! and I had nothing to do with it swear..but I do KNOW whats going on. and the police aren’t about to let up on them, has to do with motor vehicle issues.
my roommate was having fun watching neighborhood tv today, said weird to see everything going on that you DON”T hear , and he saw some funny stuff too. he said it’s better then some tv shows he has seen LOL

yes, momsk, I can do something like that, they are pricing it up because they used “fine silver” and say each piece will be different. Looks very much like a Things Remembered type item.
There are a few ways to make something like this.
Most of the book marks I make have a solid metal piece that is flat with a dangle using beads and/or charms.
Another nice items uses letter beads so you can make it say anything you want, at one end and the other a charm type item, I used high strength cord that lays in the book and the dangles hang over the top and bottom of the book pages.

I made a couple that had multiple ribbons to mark several pages at the same time, nice for Bibles, rituals for the Masonic groups, etc
