Red, White, & Blue Comment Contest – July 3, 4, 5 EXTENDED! Ends 6 pm Sunday!
All comments under the post on these days needs to include ONE of the colors red, white, or blue in the comment. Either start your comment with one of the colors or include one of the colors within your comments. Random comment numbers will be chosen as winners, so you should include one of the colors in EVERY comment!

yeah our forecast does not look good at all……tonite a local place does fireworks and we can see them from the end of our driveway….Plus there are about four crazy people in our neighborhood who do their own shows.

ya’ know what’s so cool about the challenges and collection events???????? I, and I’m sure many of you, have ww contacts on your friends list from kinzville park or tournement games…not people we’re in constant contact with, like here at gymbos, yet during these event they’re ‘there’. 🙂 just makes me smile to know these people I don’t know are also collecting marshmallows (or whatever) and we have that mutual connection. 🙂

Yes, Zingy, the tiny minion walks around, there is a talk bubble above him that reads “BELLO” but you have to have at least 2 road pieces on the map to get him.
I had removed and sold all roads to had to buy them and put them back on my map.
During the last long down time I was trying to log in and that account glitched and the deluxe was kicked off, happened to a lot of the people that tried to log in … so tech is supposed to fix those accounts but it is taking many days to get done 🙁

Is anyone else having as much trouble finding the shirt and hat floaties as I am? Plus they seem to be effecting one another… If I have a shirt floatie and a hat floaties at the same time I will get that error, like if you have 2 tabs open and have a floatie on both tabs.

Hi everyone! hope you all had a wonderful 4th!
moms..the pop rocks worked in the cupcakes but the potency diminished after a couple of hours! I had to actually make a hole in the top and put them inside each mini. it worked and they were actually good! but the funniest part was that if you listened closely you could hear them singing..well sort of lol I loved the look on faces when they would pop a whole one in their mouths! got a good laugh for sure.
I also made a viking watermelon boat and of course filled it with fruit salad, would you believe I forgot to take a picture? I was bummed, but oh well can’t be perfect can I?
Not to mention, it was so hot yesterday! there was a nice breeze so I was able to stay at the party for about 3 hours, but when I got up to walk up the hill to get to the car I felt so sick! I guess I didn’t realize how hot I had gotten! we all were feeling it some and we all kinda just laid around today doing nothing.
other then that nothing much going on around here might actually get some WW time now. have I missed out on anything?

Life is going good. I am having academic successes. (#1 in my class) College is getting closer (applying and such) which is crazy, but I think I’ve settled on becoming a pharmacist. The weird thing is that I don’t know why I want to be a pharmacist, but the way my school is, I have only learned about medical topics, so its extremely difficult to know whether I would be interested in other areas. Friendships aren’t going so well because I don’t have any at the moment but it’s whatever because I will be out of school soon.

I took AP classes this past year and took 3 out of the 4 tests (because AP Environmental Science teachers literally don’t teach at my school, passing tests was just a matter of remembering what I learned in 8th grade science) I got 4s on all of them, which is really good considering I barely studied for US History and English I was scared to death on which means I should have 9 hours credit for college.

On my main Asian account I gathered most of the trading card theme pieces and made a room with each theme… some are done, a couple need a few more pieces. Need to see if the girls have any of the pieces to complete the rooms.

ok, just able to sit. we had to go to a HUGE bday bash for dh’s grandmother…at a country club. i’m not country club material, but quite surprised at how well i fit in. HA
at least i make people laugh! that’s always a nice icebreaker. 😉
i am working on a room i would NEVER design in RL. but in light of the 4th i did it. and bc i know how much i love looking at other peeps rooms!

I’ve been out of school for over a month now, but it doesn’t really feel like it. The first 2 weeks of my summer were spent in florida with my grandma, but other than that i haven’t done much this summer other than work. I usually work 5 days a week and i’m hating every second of it. I was originally going to train to be a manager when i got back from florida, but my boss is a major… (ok, ill watch my language) lets just say that she upsets me more than she should and i cant stand to be around her most of the time, so im looking for a new job.
As for school, i don’t even know if i’m going to be taking any classes this semester because i dont have the money for it. My parents wont let me go away for school and they refuse to let me take out any loans. They originally said that the only way they would help me out is if i went to the local community college and after many arguments and tears i finally agreed to go there, but now my mom is saying that if i cant find any scholarships to cover it and i cant pay for it on my own, then im gonna have to wait until the second semester. Definitely not happy with the situation. I couldnt even be happy when i got my acceptance to the school that i wanted to go to because all my mom did was yell at me for even bothering to apply.

I know our library has a giant reference book on scholarships. Does your work offer any tuition matching? I know some places do if a class is kind of related to the job (or for advancement)
I personally am scrounging quarters for my tuition. Don’t laugh….I have 300 dollars so far………

Choco, I’m so sorry for your troubles. A community college can be a huge money saver though, if you use it right. You can get a lot of the requirements out of the way for a lot less $$. If your parents won’t help financially then you might also qualify for grants, which you also never have to repay.
Apply for them right away though. The year I went to a community college using grants, they covered the class fees plus all my books plus I got the balance back in cash.
At a 4 year you MIGHT… be able to use the grants and make arrangements for an on campus job… scholarships, grants… working that is how I got through college.
