I love the prizes. Its a lot of food and most of it is just recolored, but i like it anyway. Where to put the stuff when i get it though…. I have been emptying all my fridges and restocking as of late so i don’t have a bunch of doubles sitting around. I cant open those road trip luggage fridge things though so i don’t know whats in them.

Has anyone purchase a deluxe membership to enter the plush contest?
I was wondering if there is a special discount code?
If this a good deal or should I wait until black Friday?
    Suggestions or Comments please

    aww thanks cwc!

real life question: if you have this dryer that’s less than 2 years old and it refuses to turn on, is it better to try to get it fixed? or just buy a new one?
    http://www.homedepot.com/p/GE-7-0-cu-ft-Capacity-DuraDrum-Electric-Dryer-with-HE-SensorDry-in-White-GTDP490EDWS/203322218

if you had to get it fixed, are there places that you’d recommend getting your service from? alas its warranty expired after a year so home depot can’t help us (they only deal with warranty repairs)

  26. 26 zingyginger said,

i think some of the bundle prices are just outrageous so i just wait until they have a good sale going on

    hey all
kind of busy here (really busy for us!)
we went to an auction preview and then lost our notes of lots we want to watch
went to walgreens and got olives on sale!!!! we love olives here….buck a can if you have the flyer coupon
Kohls has a ten dollar off if you spend twenty five, so I am gonna hit them tomorrow (sssssh it is Christmas stuff). dd is finishing a paper that both of us got to proof read……..ha ha ha
which maybe we need zingy to show us how to do that on google docs for when dd goes away for school.

oh yeah!!!!!!!!!! I thought a friend was mad at me for about a year and discovered they had new phone/email…………thank goodness that got fixed

  28. 28 dee said,

gonna do a roast in the crockpot tomorrow and dh said he will bake bread. I need to get some pnut butter cookie dough done and baked this week……

and of course still Christmas decorating

dd took foods to a party potluck thing last nite and everyone liked them. so let me know if anyone needs vegan stuff

    re zingys dryer

my dh says check circuit breaker, if it is on its own breaker (like 220 appliances are)………..check the outflow pipe thingy (lint)
google appliance repair for your area
google model number for probs……..and see if you can fix yourself

he says probably cheaper to repair……….home depot should have service techs…….if not sears or best buy………probably gonna cost 75 for a looky loo

  30. 30 dee said,

    November 8, 2015 @ 8:08 pm

that was verbatim from my dh………minus the curse words……

  31. 31 zingyginger said,

    November 8, 2015 @ 8:38 pm

thank dh for his reply, dee (and thanks for editing out the cursing, lol)

we did check the circuit breaker and it’s not it

what is the outflow pipe thingy?

we’re ok with getting another one if needed but just wondering if we’re missing something simple that would keep this unit from going to the landfill

  32. 32 Bepsy (bepoodlepal) said,

    November 8, 2015 @ 8:50 pm

Its kind of a rule in my house that we don’t even start to decorate for christmas until the day after thanksgiving. I can’t believe this year has gone so fast. Its always fastest when i want it to last. Thats my 1 problem… I realise whats in the future and dwell upon it untill it occurs. But for now im happy to see that we are probably getting a plushy, a turkey apple and scarecrow based upon the shadows for ww thanksgiving. ;D

  33. 33 Bepsy (bepoodlepal) said,

    November 8, 2015 @ 8:52 pm

Also i have never used a washer/dryer myself so i would have no idea…

  34. 34 dee said,

    November 8, 2015 @ 8:55 pm

outflow pipe thingy is where the lint goes out of the house……if it is clogged, a sensor in the dryer will shut it down….
it is too new to pitch!………….did you google the model number and your problem?

  35. 35 dee said,

    November 8, 2015 @ 8:56 pm

do lights come on? does it buzz? make any noise?

he was just passing thru so I grabbed him……..

ha ha, he asks if it is plugged in! ha ha ha ha

  37. 37 zingyginger said,

    November 8, 2015 @ 9:07 pm

thanks, dee. it’s often foggy here so when clothing doesn’t dry, it can get mildewy.

yes it’s plugged in but the lights don’t come on.

i did google but there isn’t much in the manual other than checking the circuit breaker and the plug

  38. 38 zingyginger said,

    November 8, 2015 @ 9:10 pm

one thing we learned, seems all dryer warranties are for a year and it’s not rare for them break immediately after a year so if we get a new dryer, we’re paying for an extended warranty (something we don’t often do as most things either break early or late but dryers appear to be the exception to that)

  39. 39 dee said,

    November 8, 2015 @ 9:20 pm

i would pay to get it checked out…….but that is me……..might be a twenty dollar part ya know?

and we never do extended warranties evah!

and dhs bro called, so that is the last of dryer input i gots for ya….
and the line drying comment was mostly for bepsy who does not know how to do laundry…………….

but i remember helping my gramma wring her laundry in her “washing machine” she had on her back porch and hanging the clothes to dry. As in, there was no dryer!

  40. 40 dee said,

    November 8, 2015 @ 9:32 pm

    zingy
it should just not quick working after less than two years……….I have had my LG set for eight……….no problems

we had a dryer guy come once with another set and it was a sensor which was less than twenty dollars (early 2000s)………..

  41. 41 zingyginger said,

    November 8, 2015 @ 10:08 pm

yeah, i’m inclined to think a dryer should last longer than that. i just hope the fixit is simple/inexpensive. i’ll call a local repair place and ask them for recommendations.

i remember line drying – the clothes were stiff but they smelled nice and stains usually come out (from bleaching under the sun)

    howdy!

back in the day, I remember the ringer washer being drug out; then folks built house with actual laundry room with washer and dryer. I do believe most line dried clothes needed ironing to get rid of the stiffness. My Nanny(gramma) would shake some water on dried clothes, then twist them up, then unravel one by one and iron them. Sounds goofy to dry clothes then wet them again, but that’s what she did.

crazy busy week, this one. took two weeks to decorate four rooms and two trees; three bigger rooms and two more bigger trees yet to decorate. too many interruptions. πŸ™

    have a great day!!
