Hi everyone! 🙂
New post! Whoo! But what does the 10 mean?!?
I’m just stopping in to say hi. My head really hurts (for the thousandth times this week) and I’m hoping I will go to bed soon… But I have a feeling I won’t sleep.
I feel like I’m really behind on everything Webkinz, and really want to catch up, but I literally don’t have the time. I have so many things to do between now and next Tuesday that it’s not even funny. Wish me good luck, everybody.
That’s all I have for now. Hopefully I’ll find a little sliver of time to stop here again this afternoon to find out more about this mysterious 10. 🙂

Sorry you have a headache Otterkinz. I had one tonight too but the medicine is helping. Good luck on getting everything done. If all goes well the next three days I’ll have extra of the wow trophy if you didn’t manage to finish it.

Yup, I’m not asleep. 😛 I can already tell this day is going to be super stressful… BUT I am excited to find out about this 10. I like a good surprise. 😉
tmt5, sorry you had/have a headache as well. And thank you! I think I will be able to get everything done, but I know it won’t be easy and will leave me super tired. Also, thank you for offering to send me your extra Wheel of Wow Trophy, but thankfully I finished mine a few days ago, so please hold onto that for yourself. 🙂
Alright, I guess it’s time to take a Melatonin supplement and spray my pillow with some lavender sleep mist. I really need to get to sleep!

I think I know what 10 means, how exciting, time goes by so quickly.
More doctors today and a procedure at the hospital tomorrow for hubby. It never stops, please keep us in your prayers.

When I get overwhelmed with things to do… make a list of things to get done… for this morning… in order of priority.. check them off as you do them….sense of accomplishment… list next five things…not so overwhelming when you just do 5 things on the list…

Happy Thursday everyone! I have no idea about the “10” either, and I usually only pop in once a day to read posts (before the house wakes up), but I just may have to check in again a little later … MOMZ has me curious …
Things are crazy getting ready for the holidays … I feel like I barely have time to sleep. Christmas decorations half done, laundry is piling up … I AM washing it, but it is not getting put away. Hoping this Saturday I’ll have a little more time. Really looking forward to that Christmas break!
There are some cute prizes on the News page this time: Cozy Lamb Slippers and Reindeer Slippers. I don’t think I’ve seen those before, so I snatched a few up!
I really enjoy reading all of your comments even though I have been lurking lately. Makes me realize I need to post more … although I struggle to find something interesting to say. I am such an introvert. 🙂 It’s getting worse as I get older!

Mom’s today is my birthday..and I’m 10 !! Right? Lmbo

Cats are fed, house is very dark and quiet…think I’ll cuddle my kitties and stay in bed for a couple more hours.

My hubby woke me at midnight to say happy b day and give me cards..one from the cats that sang happy birthday in cat meows..lol . The cats were fascinated by it .was really cute watching their reactions.
The other card was so romantic. .I cried..then asked who picked it out for him, as my hubby never goes for those type of cards! Lmbo

And he bought me two special gadgets for my viking sewing machine I’ve been wanting!! Wow, he really was listening to what I said…imagine that? Lol
He also took me out for surf and turf dinner down by the shore!
Anda short walk on the beach…totally out of character for my man I assure you.. it was actually quite a beautiful day and night here in CT.

i hear ya on the hubby……..mine brought home flowers early in our marriage and all i could say was “what happened?”………just was not used to that kind of attention………

I’ve watched the toll it can take, not just on the person living with kidney failure, but on the family as well. Quick update on my daughter- She has fully recovered from her surgery. Now she is just miserable because she is playing catch up on all the school work she got behind in last week. She has stayed after school every day this week. Only 7 more days after this week though, and then she’s done another 4 classes. She’s living for Christmas break!
Got lots of packaging to do and errands to run this afternoon. Hugs and happy 10th anniversary all!

Taking YD to Harry Potter Club at library, buying cat food and YD wants Boston Market for dinner since we will be sort of out near there.

Gymbo XC is the track cross country team? I think ours is done for the season. Kat has a couple of friends on her school team. She planned to run track, had wanted to since she was about six, even took a class to learn pacing. But she developed exercised induced asthma and even with the inhaler it wasn’t happening. It has gotten some better since the initial problem when she was almost 11 so she was able to do the Color Guard at least. Only a couple of rough practices and her getting a first hand experience that asthma can trigger hypoglycemia.

I feel you Dee on the name letter thing. I hate it in books when the author makes two characters names start with the same letter. I read really fast and sometimes that’s all I use to keep track of the names.

I was so happy to read about those colored gnomes! I listened to the podcast episode, and they said they would be available from the advent calendar that they would post on Dec. 8, so that’s tomorrow. She also said that each code will only work for one day, so you have to check in every day.

Not sure why the introverted-ness is getting worse as I get older. Would love to have someone try and explain it from a psychological perspective. I found “Introvert Doodles” online a few months ago, and that artist had me relating to almost every drawing (and laughing out loud many times). Give me my books, my cup of hot tea, and Webkinz, and about 6 hours, and I’m as happy as can be. 🙂

ME is doing great…I think…She is VERY, VERY active. So, that’s a good thing, right? I have an appointment next Thursday…hoping to get to see her again!
And Dee, it is funny you mentioned scents. Everytime we walk into a BBQ restaurant, my dh asks why they don’t make scented candles that smell like that. Well…they do. And I bought some for him for Christmas! I got Bacon, Pizza, and BBQ scents. More of a gag gift. But, I think he’ll like them.

TMT5 the XC is off for the season here too but the kids still run and practice. Today they had a fun 5K with hot chocolate at the end. Getting low temps and cold. I’m sorry to hear about Kat and the running, glad she’s able to participate in other events.

@ dee – hahaha, no! no more vacation surprises nor planned (our last one was). The kids are all grown. The oldest just got her drivers permit. Our little one is now in kinder and thinks she’s in college.
How exciting must be to have her back home, I would be coming home too if I knew mom was cooking/baking.

Thanks so much for the info on the gnomes. Sometimes I watch the podcasts, and sometimes I don’t bother when my fellow Gymbonians have already snagged the podcast codes.
Ruby, you haven’t been here long, so please don’t be embarrassed by this, but Gymboutiques founded the blog, which is why it’s called “Gymbo’s Webkinz Blog”. Gymbo is not new at all! But a Gymbo sighting is a very rare and precious thing indeed. I’ve only seen Gymbo post perhaps half a dozen times in the three years I’ve been active here. 😉

my amazon package finally arrived!
after getting my “your package seems to be lost” messages, i was kind of upset…….but by waiting til last delivery day, they sent a whole new package with expedited delivery…………..so sad as it was two bags of cat chow and a book for dd………….anyone read the infinite jest guy? anyways it is another book about him………….but hurray…….i have cat chow!

I still remember buying him his first Webkinz, then he bought me the leopard for my birthday because he thought I should have to. Now itâ€™s been years since heâ€™s played and Iâ€™m still going. Sometimes I go through his old account(I still keep it going) and walk through the rooms he decorated so long ago. Finally got to be able to come back, hope Gymbo and Momskinz have slept well. No sleep for me for awhile too congested at the moment. Finished a few of the wow trophies.
I like wolves so the signature timber wolf. In general the more realistic ones but I’d put the flying pig on my list too. The rocker purple puppy cause it looks a lot like my OD. YD actually named hers after her sister. Red squirrel. Reindeer. Rose Satin Guinea pig, chili hamster, red wolf, Calico cat and Fennec fox.

LL I could of easily put a lot of your list on mine too. Those are mostly just the ones that I could remember and if I can still remember them then that is a pretty good indicator of preference or they made the cut cause I’ve actually read them more than once.
Oh no Gymbo on not remembering your password. Fortunately I had all of ours written down when I took that long break from playing. You should have a pet code around somewhere if no place else an email so you can get them to rest the password as long as it didn’t get archived.

I fished it out TLL. Thanks for retyping the codes. I will print it in a big font too and hope I can make it to the end (will be in NYC from Tues to Tues around Christmas). Sometimes the filter snags what it thinks is multiple links as driveby spammers like to post them.
I also fished out Gymbo’s from yesterday and gaga’s post from earlier today. I read and re-read Gymbo’s post and can’t figure out why it got filtered either so TLL, you’re not alone. Going back to read gaga’s now.

I had some good luck with PAN boxes today. One Zircon window and two winged windows.

HI everyone. I was happy to come home after a long day. My husband has been out of town the last 2 days but comes home tonight. The back story is our cat gets really mad when there is nobody at home for an entire day(my husband is around often as he has his own business). When I got home tonight my two girls were already home, but up in their rooms. The cat was sleeping by the front door and looked moody when I acknowledged him. I bent down to pet him and he growled. I decided to ignore him and start on dinner but he followed me and kept laying down on my feet. I shooed him away and gave him some food which seemed to appease him. I quickly made dinner and was serving it up when I looked over at my “bleeping” cat who was straddling my dd’s new winter coat that she had tossed on the couch(that had now slid onto the carpet). I literally dropped by plate on the counter while screaming obscenities at the cat across the family room as I could see what he was about to do. By the time I bridged the gap between up he had managed to pee all over her new coat! I scared him so bad with my yelling that he stopped mid stream and ran away. So… I spent the last 1/2 hour steam cleaning my carpet, mopping the floor and now the jacket is on steam allergin disinfectant cycle in the wash(with a cup of vinegar). My dinner is cold and when I just went to hunt down the cat he gave me a look like.. I told you I don’t like when people leave! Who needs moody teenagers when you have a horrible cat! Uggh!!!
Hope everyone’s night is going better than mine has started out as.

Hi Patsie.
I had a cat that decided she didn’t like one of the parents from the childcare and would poop in front of the door shortly before her arrival time basically every morning. Pee is much worse, harder to clean up.
Better get to the actual webkinz before it is midnight and I’ve missed the day.

moms, I’m glad my typing skills were of some use to the blog. I have trouble reading that horrible font they use for codes, so I figured as long as I was typing up the codes, I might as well post them. Since I’m so lazy about searching for the codes myself, I need to thank the blog somehow for always finding the codes for me!
I am having SOME KIND OF WEEK in the trading rooms, y’all. So I got the Mona Ducka a few days ago, right? Well, tonight I got the Adolescent Zangoz! Are they in the stockings as a bonus gift or something? Because I’ve never even SEEN these paintings in the trading rooms before. And if that’s not enough, I finally got my BIGGEST WEBKINZ WISH OF ALL TIME, the orchid waterfall! I am obsessed with the floral favorites theme, and it’s been sticking in my craw for a year and a half that the waterfall was never a promo I could get by buying points or deluxe membership or something. But now I have it, and oh my, it literally makes the room! I’m completely wigging out here, so as usual, I’m gonna pay it forward! I’ve got a Golden Sparkle Gumball Machine that I will give away to the blog in a contest. I haven’t decided what kind of contest yet, but as soon as I figure it out, I want everyone to participate. I can’t celebrate my own good fortune without giving some good fortune to someone else. I’m weird that way.

Patsie – Regarding post 37: I am not the sort to pray. I wouldn’t know who or what to pray to. However, in my line of work, I’ve respectfully bowed my head and listened to the prayers of many people of various faiths. I’ve seen the impact that praying has on people, particularly during times of illness, tragedy, and death. I’m a firm believer in the power of prayer on a psychological level for the believer. That being said, I also have quite a few friends who are nonbelievers, and many of them take offense to prayer and do not want people praying for them.
I only bring this up because I often see people say, “I will pray for you.” To me, that is a very kind gesture, and I always appreciate it, but to others it may be offensive. You’re the first person I’ve seen who has offered to not pray for someone if they don’t want you to, and I appreciate your acknowledgement and inclusiveness of them. As far as I’m concerned, you can pray for me anytime. I don’t know if your prayers actually do me any good, but they certainly don’t hurt me. And if there is someone out there listening (I don’t discount the possibility), maybe it will help me. More importantly though, if it brings you happiness to pray for others, then I think that’s beneficial for you. So you have my full permission to pray for me (not turning down any metaphysical freebies). Pray for me all you want!
TMT – Robotics AND The Harry Potter Club? Seriously? We should totally do lunch. With our girls. My daughter is also in her school’s Harry Potter Club. They meet after school every Wednesday. I didn’t even know that was a thing, but apparently it’s a very big thing. Next week is the last meeting before winter break, so they are all wearing pajamas to school and then exchanging Secret Santa gifts at their after school meeting. I’m secretly jealous… Just saying… I was homeschooled (and Harry Potter wasn’t written back then… and even if it was… my parents would have burned the books). Are there any Harry Potter Clubs for grown ups? I want to wear pajamas and geek out over Severus Snape. My daughter was elated when she made it into the Gryffindor House. I was disappointed in her. If she had tried just a little bit harder, I’m sure she could have made it into Slytherin.
TLL – Thank you for posting the gnome codes! I actually managed to score them all (just one of each) a few years ago in trade, but I’m all about having extras of anything I can trade! It will be a challenge to remember to enter codes daily, but I’m determined! I can do this! I’m good enough! I’m smart enough! And doggone it, people like me! (if you is old enough to remember this…. you is OLD… like me). 😀 And yes, Moms has me figured out, I was being facetious when I invited Gymboutique to join us. And the fact that I’m 43 years old, and that adorable elephant with the neverending ears sits on my dresser and makes me smile every time I look at it, only reinforces the fact that I probably need therapy, at least according to my daughter… I’m totally okay with that. I’m like, you know what??? SOME OF US (not pointing fingers) need to wear Hogwarts hoodies to school and belong to the Gryffindor House. OTHERS OF US like to have Sweet Elephants sitting on our dressers because they’re ADORABLE. Let’s not judge! So yeah… we just leave it that. My Sweet Elephant’s name is Horton. My Signature Elephant’s name is Ruby (and hence… Ruby Cubes). I really do like dogs, I promise! (Just not quite as much as cats, elephants, pandas, geese, snakes, dragons, or crabs).
LeeAnn – Can totally relate! You had me cracking up with your cat story! My cat, Dad, was peeing on our shoes last summer. We went through a horrible ordeal with him, but I’m happy to say, he has made a full recovery, largely because I’ve decided to never leave the house again. And he has decided to never leave my lap. That was after I dropped $1000 on vet bills, started buying a special renal formula cat food for him, and started him on Prozac (yes… I resorted to putting my cat on Prozac). I finally realized that it was cheaper to permanently drop out of work full time than it was to medicate my cat. So we have a perfect arrangement now. I only leave the house long enough to pick my daughter up from school each day, and he graciously agrees to not pee on everything that is not his litter box. All in all, it’s a perfect arrangement.

our main cat had some issues and turned out it was kidney problems…..so keep in mind if it is a male cat or and older cat (i think they go by nine)…..
and yes poop is much easier to clean up…..towards the end, main cat had many difficulties, so we know some good cleaners…………
