Moms & TMT (and any other socially liberal folks here) – Have you seen Yuri on Ice? If not, I recommend canceling your plans this weekend and binge watching the entire series. There is only one season so far, and each episode is only about 20 minutes (if you skip the opening song), so the entire series can easily be watched in less than 5 hours. By far, my favorite show ever! My daughter and I have watched it together 3 times. We’re getting our figure skating fix with the Olympics at the moment, but when it’s over, we’re going to watch it again.

hello all
busy today somehow………..dh is cleaning poo out of the garage and it somehow wound up being my poo! we have gobs of paint and sidewalk chalk and all of that if anyone can think of where i can donate it? i want it used and not resold

Decided to get a deluxe membership. Got the trial $0.99 one, after that i’ll probably do it monthly, or get the full year one if i think i’m gonna continue playing.
I’ve been going in the trading room a lot trying to get back some of the items i previously had gotten rid of, as well as anything i think would look good in my rooms. Tried going in kc+ but the people there are so demanding!Some wont even bother putting anything up, they just ask you for a million different things. I just stick with the regular kinzchat one because i have no patience for demanding people. Only venture into kc+ if i’m looking for something in particular or my patience is unusually high.
I’m going with my mom tomorrow after class to put up my new car. I’m really excited about it. My last car died on me in october and i’ve been using my parent’s truck since then. They said they’d help me get a new car by fall so i didn’t expect it this soon. My mom was asking me about different cars yesterday because i had originally wanted something small, but after last week’s giant snowfall, the idea of having a small car makes me a bit nervous, so she suggested a newer ford escape (i previously had an older escape). Apparently my dad started looking online after that and found a nice 2012 escape for me. My mom called this morning while i was at my boyfriend’s house and asked me to meet her at the dealership to test drive it and i was so shocked because i expected to wait until at least summer for them to start looking. I have some money saved for it and they’re contributing some as well and the rest is getting financed. All of my cars have been older cars and even though this one is 6 years old, i’m super excited about it.

Remodeling is going well, but the house is just torn up so bad in the process. The walls are looking good, and the floor should go in next week, and then maybe I can get the furniture back in place and begin sorting through all of this JUNK that has accumulated in my house over the past 15 years. I was going to do that before we started, but my contractor is more available now than in the spring, so we started before I was really ready. But then it will be done sooner, so maybe that’s a good thing. Just that cramming three floors of stuff into two makes for a very cluttered experience.
Anyway, can’t complain … it’s Friday! And a long weekend, at that! We are also looking for cars on Monday (one for me, and maybe one for dd). I’ve been driving the same one since 2001, so it’s time. 🙂

zingy – thanks for mentioning my warthog – he is improving, still coughing a little more than i would like, but he’s able to go longer without breathing treatments. big problem now is that my mom started coughing last night – we have stayed away for 2 weeks, so she caught it from somewhere else 🙁 i picked up her tamiflu prescription today, though, so she’s starting it well within the 72 hours. i also brought her elderberry, chocolate, & pellet ice 🙂 hopefully that combo will be the cure!
rubycubes – i’ll have to see what yuri on ice is all about – sounds fun – i have enjoyed snowboarding in this olympics far more than anything else, but adam rippon is also a new favorite

poor kiddo as it was finals week too…………she said it was the sickest she can remember being………she had to get a flu shot at xmas break for her internship at a local hospital…………but too little too late..

Dee – Deluxe has been around for $0.99 for quite a while, but it’s only an introductory offer. You can only get it for 1 month, and only if you have never had deluxe on that account. Renewal for another month is the standard monthly price.

Moms – You’re very welcome! I’m glad I had something you needed! I hope your son continues to get better, and I hope your older son was happy with his audition. I also hope the best for your mom too. I’m so glad she has you to watch out for her. I’d give almost anything to have a relationship like that with my mom. Regarding Yuri on Ice, give it one hour. Most people are hooked by the 2nd episode. If you’re not into the story and characters by the 3rd episode, it may not be your thing, but I’m willing to bet you’ll love it.
Even if you’re not a huge fan of competitive figure skating or anime, it’s a very refreshing love story with some of the best character development I’ve ever seen. The music is original, and one of the Japanese pairs skaters skated to the title song, Yuri on Ice, in their team short program in Pyeongchang. Johnny Weir is a HUGE fan of the show and promotes it all the time, including at these Olympics.
The animation and sound effects are spot on, and the lead characters are so perfectly lovable. I almost never recommend shows or movies to people because interests and tastes vary so much, and this show definitely is not for everyone (although it would be in my perfect world 😀 ), but I’m willing to bet you’ll watch the first 2 episodes (skeptically) and then be like… ok… I want to see where this is going… I’ll watch a few more. And by the end, you’ll be crying and going, “OMG I totally ship this!” And then you’ll be pulling your sons in going, “No, get back here. You’re going to watch this with me. This is church. You can’t opt out!” And eventually you’ll have a Victor and Yuri key chain hanging on your key ring and you’ll be wearing a tshirt that says, “I’m a tasty pork cutlet bowl.” Ok. Maybe not quite that far. But you will be, at the very least, talking about it on random message forums and complaining that it has been over a year and the movie and second season STILL have not been released!
I’m not kidding. It’s that’s good. Watch it. Now. Everyone (with the disclaimer that Everyone may not like it). I’m dropping hints for my next pet giveaway… 😉

Happy Saturday, everyone! I just love quiet Saturday mornings.
Welp, it finally happened. First time ever … 3 wishing wells in the middle row, so I got my choice of an exclusive item. Unfortunately, the choices were in the 10-15 token range (not the 300 bed that I’ve been saving up for), but really can’t complain because it was the first time ever I’ve gotten 3 wishing wells. Another WW goal crossed off my bucket list! Now, if I could just get that last Zum with the bright blue face … 🙂
So during the remodeling yesterday, our contractor knocked the thermostat off the wall (granted, it has been loose for years, and we were hoping to replace it with one of those Nest ones, so not the end of the world); however, the HVAC guy can’t get here until later this afternoon, and it went down to 33 degrees last night. Brrr! House is *cold* this morning, but we do have a gas fireplace, so it is keeping off some of the chill in the main living area. Also, everything in the house is covered with a fine layer of dust. So tempted to write “wash me” with my finger on every surface.
Thanks for the spoilers, Loopy, and the codes, everyone! I need to get busy entering them in. Also, thanks for fishing out my last comment! Such a puzzle as to what triggers the censor. I think sometimes it must be a combination of several words that trips it off.
