Easter and Spring
Easter is this Sunday, April 1st. Since 1900, Easter has fallen on April Fool’s Day only four times – 1923, 1934, 1945, and 1956. It won’t happen again until 2029. This is no trick.

Happy Good Friday
This is shaping up to be a crazy year. Easter Weekend, Full Moon and April Fools.
Mom’s I am glad you like the bouncy castle and flowers.
I bought 7 bags and many egg cartons. My 7 new prizes were: 2 purple beds, 2 plaid beds, a purple flower rug, plaid curtains and purple flower garden. All I wanted were the cottages like everyone else of course. Lot’s of complaints in the comments on the wkn about the lack of cottage prizes. I suggested they just have a category in the e-store that sells all the cottages. They did it with the Witch Cottage and still sold lot’s of other stuff.
Patsie love this post and the pretty baby animals. We usually have an easter egg hunt and big family dinner. My favorite candy is the hard candy eggs with the marshmallow cream filling, super sugar sweet, so I don’t eat too many.
Dee sounds like you are enjoying all that spring brings. The trees sound lovely. The dogwood is our provincial flower. Thanks for the code reminder, I really like the stone furniture.
Gaga, I love how you have regular family dinners. I am so looking forward to that happening as my kids move into their adult lives. I am sending sunny warm thoughts that spring is going to sprung for you.

was looking at my empty pots out back and wondered if you all knew about planting the ends of your green onions…….you know the “hairy” bit. they grow! also works for ends of celery bunches……….but i think i am in the uber minority with cooking.
def gonna do basil and rosemary again and gonna break down and buy a cilantro plant as i have had ZIP luck with seeds………..not sure why.

i have rosemary, lemon balm, and mint plants
i tried cilantro because i love using it in salsa & had ZIP luck too – i need to try basil & cilantro this year & i’m going to do a couple of tomato plants in a raised bed – one cherry or grape & one regular

Quick trip to grocery store yesterday to order the meat for Easter dinner… Place was a zoo ! Will go back today to do the shopping and hopefully my groceries will end up in my car and not someone else’s !!
Lots of new activities tomorrow in WW ! Love the prize for the challenge… although the pizza game is not one of my favorites…
Looking forward to watching Loyola tonight !! So hoping they make it to the finals… we’ll see..
dee.. saw on National news last night that both of the Blackhawks goalies were injured… and they recruited a daytime CPA to play for them.. I guess he did an awsome job !! Nice story..

Hi everyone! Just got caught up after several days away. I’ve been really busy this week. My daughter is spending a couple weeks with her dad. He’s taking her to San Francisco for spring break, so I’m taking advantage of the opportunity to get a ton of work done on my house… a massive spring cleaning. Once I’ve got it cleaned out and cleaned up, I’m going to give it a makeover. Room by room. Every room is going to get a new coat of paint, and a few of the rooms are going to get new flooring. This project will probably take me all year, but I’m excited about tackling it!
Gagagee – Thank you so much for that incredibly generous gift! I loved it! I totally agree with you about the new ostrich. That is one of the cutest pets I’ve ever seen. I fell in love the moment I saw it on Webkinz Newz! If it is as cute in person as it is in the photo, I’m going to buy like ten of them. I’m weird like that. Most pets I have no desire to own. I buy and sell so many of them, and I don’t get attached to any of them. Except every now and then, a pet will just grab me and I have a desire to buy a bunch of them and stuff them in a tote just in case… I ever need ten ostriches? LOL. I don’t know why I get attached to certain pets, and it’s very rare, but when I do, I fall in love hard! This is the first time I’ve felt this excited over a new pet since the release of the Sweet Elephant.
Everyone – I’ve been doing a pet giveaway each month since I joined last summer, but I completely missed the month of March. I could throw something up today, but instead, I’m going to give away two pets next month. One will be tomorrow, so check in tomorrow for a puzzle to solve and cute bunny giveaway! Later in the month, I will host another giveaway, which I already have planned.
Zingy – My daughter’s birthday party was incredible! Thanks for asking! She had the sweet 16 celebration she had dreamed of. All of the friends she invited showed up. They had pizza and an ice cream cake at her skating rink. They all got to skate and enjoyed it. She had lots of nice gifts. And my husband and I took her out Sunday for a special family dinner. It made me so happy to see her so happy!
Patsie – I love the opening post you made! Great job! I don’t celebrate Easter in any sort of religious sense, but I embrace many different cultural and religious customs and symbols, including the holiday’s pagan origins. When my daughter was little, we participated in community Easter Egg Hunts every year, and she loved it! But she outgrew those years ago, so we really don’t do anything for Easter now. It’s just another day for us, but I love all the Easter goodies in Webkinz World! I’ll spend my Easter, or at least part of the day, logging into all of my accounts for eggy goodness!

at first i was surprised they even had such a thing as recreational player standbys………..but good grief! dude knew it was his chance in a lifetime and totally came thru……….i am sure there will be a movie about it at some point. i can only imagine how thrilled he was
my dh was a little jealous when he found out………..now i am sure he wants to hang at preds games……..:)

Hello! Thank you all so much for sharing your experiences with babies and for the great advice. TLL – I have heard that babies have different cries for different needs…ME has only one cry right now. And she sounds like a lawn mower that is running out of gas. I know I shouldn’t laugh, but it is quite funny! The nasal aspirator…Is that the thing where you suck the boogers out of the child’s nose with your mouth? That has got to be one of the grossest things ever! But, all the moms I talked to swear by it!
Ruby – I have 2 baby carriers! But, I haven’t used them yet. Not sure how to do the dishes while wearing ME! I always said that I would rather wear her, though, instead of buying a stroller for outings. It makes more sense to me.
Miracle – Thanks for the book suggestion. I bought “What to Expect” years ago, but have never heard of “Baby Wise”. I might give it a shot. Not much time to read though…

Put the codes in on some of the accounts over the last couple of days, thanks for the reminders. Also did a few of the deluxe challenges but not all. Bought an Ostrich. This months deluxe challenge prize is very cute. Making sure to start that one right away. Renewal month on family deluxe accounts don’t want to risk if there are issues.

Omg. Hahaha. I can’t believe what I just did! And I can’t believe that I am going to share this stupidity! So..I was working on the March Deluxe Challenge. It’s no surprise that I missed spinning the Wheel of Wishes 5 times or ran out of time to play Piggy’s Big Adventure. So I paid 10,000 estore points each to skip those activities. (It’s not the first time, and won’t be the last.) I did, however, have Sugarberries in my dock and was feeding them to my pet.
…Until…he became too full. Then. I needed to wait. Until he was no longer full. (Probably should have just fed them to another pet.) I waited so long that I waited till THE NEXT DAY!!! I completely forgot to finish the challenge. AND WASTED 20 BUCKS!!!

yes, i make the mac & cheese from scratch in the crock pot – so yummy that i have to double it every time! my youngest warthog is a chef in the making, so today, i taught him to make it with me just helping – it’s nice to have his help! he also baked the cake with my help yesterday, so i made the frosting & did the coconut – i use 7 minute frosting on coconut cake
amberrose – the pineapple cheese is so fantastic i have to double it every time, too 🙂 if i’m going to cook, it should be something we really enjoy because i do not mind the cooking, but i abhor the clean up

Homemade Crock-Pot Mac & Cheese Recipe
1 (16 ounce) package macaroni, cooked and drained
4 tablespoons oil
2 (13 ounce) can evaporated milk
3 cups milk
2 teaspoon salt
6 cups shredded sharp cheese
1/2 cup melted butter
Toss cooked macaroni in 4 tablespoons oil in large bowl.
Add all remaining ingredients.
Pour into lightly greased crock-pot.
Stir well.
Cover and cook on low for 3-4 hours.
Stir occasionally.
(this is doubled – you can definitely make a 1/2 batch, but why would you?

20 oz. can pineapple chunks
1 reg. can pineapple chunks
1 cup grated cheddar cheese
1/2 cup sugar
3 tbl. flour
3 tbl. pineapple juice
1 1/2 cups crushed Ritz crackers
1/4 cup margarine
Drain pineapple chunks
Put pineapple chunks in 8×8 dish
Mix: cheese, flour, sugar and juice and put over pineapple
Mix crushed Ritz crackers with 1/4 cup margarine
Sprinkle cracker mixture over pineapple and cheese in dish
Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes
Hot Pineapple Cheese Casserole – doubled
2 ~ 20 oz. can pineapple chunks
2 reg. can pineapple chunks

1 cup sugar
