   Morning Gymbonians! Sorry I’ve been MIA all month till Update Wednesday. August is mountain-stomping month in this household, so literally all my free time was spent hiking up and down various mountains. In my travels, I saw one black bear, five elk, innumerable deer, and a bunch of wild turkey, including a mom and her flock. So precious! I also spent some time in a star park, and got to see the rings on Saturn and the stripes on Jupiter with a really amazing telescope, which, coolness! Now how to tell Mr. Lurker that I want to spend three grand on a telescope?

   Anybody needs marching band costumes, speak the heck up. I have ’em coming out my ears lol. The only thing I don’t have spares of is the drum, because I was on vacay on the 20th and missed them. (I managed to get quite a few by doing the challenge over and over and over, while roundly cussing out that stupid goat in Lunch Letters, but I don’t have any to spare, sorry!) I do have the silver horn too, if anybody needs one.

   Wait…they did the tawny cat pants?! What day was that? I can’t believe I missed the last piece of the costume! *kicks self multiple times*

   april, I was like, “Greetings from WI”? When did april move over to Webkinz Insider? Then it hit me, WI is Wisconsin. Webkinz on the brain, that’s my problem!

   I only bought three of the new mystery bags. I never really get into the fall bags for some reason. I did get insanely lucky though…on my last bag, I got the Green Apple Cottage, which is the rarest prize. YAY! And then I found someone in the trading room to trade one of the other prizes I got for the Red Apple Cottage, so yeah, I’m done with Fall Mystery until the clothing bags are out lol.

   MomT, welcome to Gymbo’s! I think I traded with you on WI wayyyyyy back when. 😉

   Food collectors, if you didn’t know, you can visit Sophie in the Blue Ribbon room in regular KC in the clubhouse and get all six new foods from the Blue Ribbon garden dispensers. I was happy to see that, else my little food collector would have been begging me to pony up the bucks for the dispensers. Oh, and I of course got the sweet pepper, honeyberry, and sunflower patio plants if anybody needs the foods. There’s something called a “Delightful Patio Plant” coming out soon, but the image wasn’t in the system yet. There’s also going to be a Macadamia Nut Tree (no image yet), which I neeeeeed for my Hawaiian room. Thanks, Ganz, for giving me a home for what little disposable income I have!

   What are the odds that it will be similar to the Golden Turtle Dove they made available at Christmas for 3 days? If so, I’m stylin’!

   I’ve heard rumors that the Moonlight Tiger will cost $100, Dixie. And that is supposed to be the PRICE of the tiger…you don’t even get estore points with it! I hope that’s not true because that’s beyond ridiculous!

    I just went to check it out and that is Midnight Tiger is definitely way out of my league. I think it is exorbitant and unreasonable to expect people to pay 100000 estore points for this pet. As a Canadian, this pet will run me over 135.00 and I can ill afford that. I don’t know too many people who will give up groceries for a week to buy this pet. Not judging, just saying that they have placed this pet too far out of reach. Too rich for my blood. I have the original PSI from the cat, so I am not going to bother.

    Thank you Loopy, for the sad head’s up and the chuckle. When April said WI, I thought the exact same thing and I scratched my head trying to figure out who she is there 😆

    I haven’t bought a webkinz in years so I’m a bit out of the loop, can someone please explain why the tiger is so expensive? Is it like those promotions they used to do where if you bought x amount of estore points you’d get some special pet or item? Or it is just the pet you are paying for? The tiger is cute, but not $100 cute, especially since it comes with a recolores psi. You’d think for that price they’d at least give it a new one.

    Classes start tomorrow for me, I have 3 on campus and 1 online. One of my professors is out of town for a conference so I only have to go to 2 of the classes tomorrow, but I have an online assignment for the class we’re missing.

    When do they release the Halloween stuff on webkinz? Like the costumes and Halloween theme? Probably way too soon to be thinking about it because I’m guessing it’s the beginning of October. I’m one of those people who starts getting into the fall/Halloween mood very early.

    Sorry about the WI – WI confusion! (wee wee… ) I did move to Wisconsin and I’m still on WI once in a while. Same screen name, I just didn’t post all that much.

    Thank you moms and Lurker for the awesome gifts!!!! I really appreciate it!

    I LOVE my new house…I hate my new house… I’m pretty much on a roller coaster these days! A lot of things to love. Great big, fenced in yard, with huge trees surrounding. Complete privacy and it’s awesome. DH and I are out on the patio every night that we can. The inside needs some work…specifically the kitchen. It’s an older ranch house with 2 foot soffits that hang out from the roof. So there is NO natural light. It’s a little depressing. We are going to take our time and hopefully figure out the best way to redesign the kitchen.
    When we first moved in it smelled like somebody had died in here and then a cat peed on it. We didn’t notice it at first because the strong smell of perfume from the previous owner. Have changed the furnace filter, helped a little. Now we will probably have to have all the vents cleaned out. But, we found hardwood in the hall closet, JACKPOT! Really hoping when we pull up the carpet there is more. Thank goodness for google maps and waze! I am very directionally challenge! So those are helping me get around. I can almost make it to the grocery store without them now. They built a new one here called Festival Foods. It’s really nice and big and has just about everything. They even have one of those kid play areas! There are always kids in there with a woman supervisor from the store. It’s really cute…small town life isn’t too bad. Thanks for the well wishes moms and gaga!

    gaga—I would love a birch bed! It’s the one thing I didn’t get. I have extras of all the other things if you need another rug…or anything else! Glad you were able to enjoy some good memories of your dad this weekend. Fours years isn’t very long, so I’m sure it’s still very fresh for all of you. I’m sure your mom was glad you all were there with her. Hope your work day goes well with the newbies.

    Lurker—Your adventures always sound so amazing! I’m a bit of a klutz so anytime we did anything ‘adventurous’ I always ended up bruised! LOL! One time we went horseback riding and my saddle hadn’t been tightened properly. The saddle and me went slowly sideways until I was on the ground…bouncing up and down the whole time to the horses trot. Once everyone realized I was okay my bro fell on the ground laughing. He was right behind me and said it was one of the funniest things he’s ever seen!

    I too think that 100,000 for a pet is a lot. Especially with a recolored PSI, and no points. The extra medallions would be nice. It may take me years to get the stone lion or firefly.

    even dh! so much stuff and so much different stuff and so much veganish stuff…..it was wild……….i know they are a very small chain in that area

    dee—We do have a Woodmans! I haven’t been there yet. Everyone tells me it’s huge and will take a while to get through…bigger than Costco. I’ve been waiting until I have a free afternoon to check it out. Excited now! Let me know if you need any vegan-ish stuff. 🙂

    moms—We are hoping for hardwoods too!!! Would be so great! Diesel is really starting to like his big ole yard. I think it overwhelmed him at first. He’s finally exploring and not glued to me anymore. 🙂

    april, your horseback riding account made me laugh! I have only gone horseback riding once. The horse my hubby was on decided to get frisky with my horse and darn near bit her on the butt, so she went flying and I’m yanking on the reins shouting “Whoa! Whoa! WHOA!” and finally the instructor caught up with me and slowed the horse to a funeral walk. That was enough for me! If I want to see a mountainside, I do it on foot. That same trip, I also went canoeing for the first time, and that was almost as disastrous. We were paddling in the middle of the Shenandoah River and we were about to hit the rapids and then a thunderstorm came roaring over the mountain. We were paddling like heck, praying we didn’t get hit by lightning, and we almost overturned in the rapids. I think they had to shovel out the canoe when we returned it!

    So I’m “new” again to Webkinz. I haven’t played since college (2007-2009ish), and when my toddler discovered my Webkinz plushies, I got my account out of the archive to play again with him. I LOVE FALL. How do these Mystery Bags/boxes work? I am Deluxe, and have enough estore points for one bag. According to the estore description, you get 5 random things from the images listed. Are they all tradeable/sendable? I have my eyes on a few particular ones (yay fall FURNITURE!). And in general, is it good etiquette to trade Mystery Bag stuff for other Mystery Bag items in the trade room, or can you offer other enticing goodies too? Thanks for your time, and for this resource! I used to spend time here 10 years ago when I was playing too! You guys are incredibly passionate! (I can’t believe I missed 8-10 years of content!!)

    Nicole, welcome to this forum! I rarely buy the mystery bags because I don’t want to get stuck with a bunch of non tradeable items that I can’t use. I think that I have gotten one tradeable item in my bag in the past. In general, the newer tradeable estore items are in higher demand, and thus have a higher trading value. Is there any item that you are looking for in particular in the new mystery bag? If you post it here, maybe someone on this forum has an extra and would be willing to trade with you.

    Hiya all! Thanks for the welcome. Shorty, mostly I’m in love with the fall furniture (bed, wardrobe, curtains, rug sofa, and/or chair- I think acorn chair will work fine in my Cozy Autumn Bungalow plans). I LOVE FALL. Decor, clothes, anything- my kinz house is in a perpetual state of autumnal hygge. Maybe I’ll luck out and get those 5 if I get a bag? LOL So most of them ARE generally non-tradeable, or just have super-high value? My current Bungalow is stocked with the items from the 2008 or 2009 fall fest (the pressed leaf, the hay bale, the fall fest poster, the potted fall tree, and such). If I splurge on a bag, I’ll find out how to post for trade depending what I get. 🙂 (Is there a way to post a “classified”? I have a lot of older exclusives, PSI and some rares that I’m looking to rehome, including LOTS of vehicles and cars and stuff, if those interest anybody.)

    First day of classes was… interesting…
    I left the house at 7:50 and my first class started at 9:20, but thanks to construction/road closures on nearly every other road, I was late. So i’ve determined that I have a 2 hour commute to school… before they closed the freeway it only took 30-40 minutes. I’ve got a bone to pick with whoever was in charge on construction planning this year because this is the worst it’s ever been.
    I my drop my online class and take it next summer. The class itself seems good, but after looking over the syllabus I think it would be better for me to take it on campus, or at least when I don’t have 3 other classes to worry about.

    Last night my parents said they’d pay for me and my boyfriend to go to cedar point as my birthday gift. Very excited about that! We get to go during halloweekends, which is something i’ve wanted to do for years.

    each mystery bag has one of the items shown on this post – “one brand-new Exclusive, Super Exclusive or RARE tradeable/sellable item per bag” – then the rest of the items are random estore (typically not tradeable)

    people like to trade mystery bag items for others if they are trying to collect certain pieces, but sometimes people will trade a mystery bag “promo” item for something that isn’t from a bag … like shorty said – they’re pretty popular

    cedar point sounds fun for your birthday! we went to the Halloween party at Walt Disney World one year, and I have always wanted to go back – it was a blast!!!

    sounds like a good decision about the classes, but with that commute, it’s too bad they aren’t all online for now – ugh!

    chococat I feel a bit luckier because I don’t have to start classes until the 17th, which is actually earlier than last year. Last year they started the 25th.

    I have been kept busy this summer, and just last week my younger sister got three sugar gliders and we have been getting them used to us so far. One of the girls (Lotus) is super eager to run around and check things out, another one (Pearl) is still pretty nervous and is quick to bite if she feels uncomfortable, and the boy (Cinder) is kind of a watch dog for them and is kind of an in-between personality. They all like to use people as perches though.

    I’d also like to thank the wonderful folks who have sent me gifts!! Much appreciated!

I thought it’d be up to 5 Fall things. POOP. I guess I’ll just not bother then. I can’t think of anyone who would shell out $120+ to attempt to get all the items, and potentially get a bunch of random stuff bogging down their dock for their trouble. DAT BED THO! *le sigh*

    Nicole, you sound like my daughter, Nicole. She stopped playing back in 2008. Just recently her children found her ‘stash’ and I have seen 4 new accounts spring up. Guess what Gramma is doing? One of the little stinkers even convinced her Dad to get her a .99 Deluxe account and I just found this out. Unfortunately, it expires on the 13th, so I have to either kick in for the renewal or ask her to be patient, Gramma will get it for her on Black Friday LOL
    Moms, I do not know who Nilsson is??
    I don’t know if I will ever put up a trade list. I just tried trading, again, recently and it requires a lot of math. (I usually love it) but these days I have a lot more on my mind as we’re getting ready for the Company to change ownership where I am working. Being a manager, I have a lot of work ahead of me.
    But I digress, I will not have any problem with gifting people things they are looking for. That has never been an issue for me.
    If all it takes to make someone happy is a few pixels, far be it for me to put selfishness in the way of happiness.

Definitely post a trade/wish list here though because we often just gift – sometimes if we have mystery box items & need to, we swap with each other & things like that and are always willing to trade if you have someone’s wish that you want to trade to them – we understand the “value” in the pixels, so trading is welcome & encouraged – we used to have SO MUCH trading here, but now we all pretty much just spoil each other whenever possible you don’t have to list what you have, that’s too fluid for any of us to bother with anymore LOL, just list your wishes if you want. I encourage that!
