Good Morning Boper… So sorry.. I was looking for your items in the Special Items section of the toolbar… I was trying to send CD covers !! Now that I know where to look I was able to find one of your items but will keep looking and see what I find. I am also realizing that these are a bit hard to find. Do you know where the albums covers were awarded from . Wheels ? I have many of the pets featured on the covers but no luck. Once again sorry.. I did learn something new. moms.. So happy that your in laws were able to get their vaccinations. My brother who lives in GA is scheduled on Tuesday..His wife is undecided ..I realize it is a choice but don’t understand why one would not want to be protected from this horrible virus when given the opportunity..
has anyone gotten anything from the sodas? i have not even gotten a burp!
when does the smoothie challenge start? yes i know it is on here somewhere
we are off to get license plate stickers tomorrow! WOO HOO dd needs to do some remote work, so works well for all for me and dh to get out eeyore day today……….no fire………supposedly fifties, but sure did not feel like it with grey skies and drizzle………some of my bulbs are starting to peek up, so i am on the lookout for seeds for the garden and flower beds/pots hope all are well and watching football or whatever it is ha ha ha ha ha ha ha
Hello! It’s good to see that some people have been able to get their vaccines already. I’ve been trying, but the local health department doesn’t know when they’re getting their next shipment. I was getting a little concerned because starting tomorrow we’re gonna have students in the building for full days (as opposed to the half days we were doing). However, I found out on Friday that all of the classes I’ll be teaching will be virtual. I still have to be in the building, but it’ll just be me in a room with a computer, so I’ll have limited human interaction, which is nice. I’ll be doing that for the foreseeable future, possibly until the end of the school year. I currently have 5 grad school applications in and I received interview invites for 3 of them. At this point I’m assuming a rejection from one of the schools I haven’t heard from and it’s too soon to tell for the other. I have 2 other schools I may apply to, but I’m leaning towards passing on one of them and still applying to the other.
Good Morning Hey Patsie Nice to see you.. Hope you are well ! How is school going ? moms.. Hope you have a nice visit with your mom and the weather is sunny and warm. I am sure a face to face conversation means so much to both of you. Visits here in assisted facilities I think are still through a window. It has almost been a year since things have changed so drastically. Hopefully change is right around the corner for all. I get my second dose a week from today. Sheba.. Hope your m i l was able to receive her vaccination..and you were able to get a good nights’ sleep. dee… Have fun getting your plates… 50’s sounds like a heat wave. Was able to finish Smoothie Moves on first account… She was very generous ! ll.. thanks for always having the answers to my questions..You sure do have a wealth of knowledge about WW.. and I appreciated it ! April… Hope all is well with you ! Will be looking forward to watching the Super Bowl… Just heard on the radio that tickets to the game are 8000 dollars !! Should be a good game. I also wondered if you saw the news clip of that dog is Russia whose owner was hospitalized and the poor dog ran behind the ambulance and stayed outside the hospital for two days waiting for its owner… So heart wrenching… When the owner was wheeled out of the hospital….. the dog’s reaction was priceless and brought tears to my eyes. There was a movies years ago with similar story… Hatchie was the dogs’ name and village built a statue in the square after Hatchie passed away.. Movie worth seeing for dog lovers.. I think Richard Gere portrayed the owner.
LL – Thanks for checking! 12 items is a nice amount! I hope that I get one. I may have one already from a previous time, but not sure.
Dee – I’m am trying to follow your logic about car shopping…are you in the market for a new car?
As far as covid tests….interesting about athletes and coaches. I guess the public is paying for them if as Gaga said it is $8,000 for a ticket!
I am not sure I understand the logic of getting a vaccine if you have already had Covid. I realize that the immunity may not last long, but shouldn’t people who haven’t had it have priority? Btw, I have friends in both categories….so not bitter about this…just wondering.
Glad that you will be able to teach virtually the rest of the year, Choco. I would not really want to be teaching in person now. I’m okay with a mask for a quick trip in and out of grocery store, but staying at home works best for me. Occasionally, I take a walk with a friend, but by the time I come home my mask needs to be changed. Not a fan of exercise with a mask, and even though my friend has been vaccinated (with first round)…she still could be a carrier. Not sure when a vaccine will be available for me.
I was able to find some down time to work on Smoothie Moves Challenge. Whew!
So…we are getting our windows replaced! The work started today and hopefully will be completed tomorrow. It was quite busy and noisy here today.
I did not sleep well last night and I think it was the excitement about the windows. And tonight…no coverings on the windows. My husband had to take off all the blinds/shades/curtains. And the priority tonight is watching basketball….so….that is that!
qos – ah! we got new windows in a former house & it was messy! glad you’ll be finished tomorrow
basketball is much more fun than hanging window treatments! LOL
dee – go test drive! that’s fun!
yes, i’ve commented several times about priorities around here – sports are important – athletes make millions, get covid tested daily, etc. but teachers can’t even get proper PPE or cleaning supplies . . .
Good Morning moms.. glad you had a nice visit with your mom ! Hope all is well with her.. and you were able to get her paperwork finished up. Thankfully my bro does all of those things and finances for my mom… Not very good at that.. would rather do the groceries and cooking. Freezing rain here this morning.. will venture out to head to work in an hour..Slow and steady wins the race ! Last official Friday to work this week. I will start my new schedule February 1st.. No Fridays unless I want to. Will be be working three days a week.. I’ll see how it goes. Sheba.. I am glad your dh put some of the blinds back up..Hopefully he will finish the rest soon..I do love sports though. dee.. I agree with moms..you and dh should go test drive a few and decide. Hope all is well and you have a good day !
gaga – same – i love sports, but at the high school level here, we have almost every sports team currently quarantined it’s not even the sports really here where they are getting it – it’s that so many of the parents are more concerned about their kids popularity & letting them have parties . . . a NYE party was a spreader for the lacrosse team
i personally think there is some value in teaching our kids limits – especially because they are an “on demand” generation – we are in a global pandemic – we have never experienced this before – i’m sorry you aren’t getting the full birthday, new years, graduation, etc. experience, but we have to make personal choices for the good of the whole right now – you will survive, you can be happy without all of the excess, stick with a small bubble of friends, and go back to more of what you need vs. what you want . . . i think mental health & physical health have top priority, but we equate mental health sometimes with doing whatever you want, sometimes the best thing for mental health is learning to accept right where you are in the moment & figuring out you can be happy right here. i know that isn’t always the case, & it’s not that simple, but we do need to teach our kids more of that
QoS – our pup has cancer – she’s over 12 years old, i call her a puppy because she’s really sweet & playful & has the spirit of a puppy – i have a seen another little decline & am worried because it is just one more sign leading to the inevitable of losing her. she’s my companion most of the time (until dh gets home, then she follows him more than me LOL) – she’s my baby, she understand a ridiculous amount of what i say – friends are amazed at what she knows. i cannot imagine life without her she brings SO MUCH love & joy into my life
i would bet money if i was a teen right now, i would be sneaking out and not wearing a mask and trying to have the time of my life i am hoping this is some serious learning about what is truly important and what is a need and not a want
Good Morning moms.. well said. It is a very difficult time for everyone.. but I would not want to be a parent of a teen right now. Based on conversations of coworkers who have kids… they think the rules don’t apply to them and they are invincible. I have gotten into a couple of heat arguments with one in particular who thinks the whole pandemic is a “fake”.. She doesn’t agree with vaccinating the “old people” and feels they should be vaccinated the young people who are out and about !! Really ?? Needless to say she doesn’t follow the rules either and recently developed Covid…thankfully symptoms not serious. dee.. Hope you find a new car that you really like ! So many choices and a big decision as well. Have a good day everyone !
