please tell me why? that’s so ridiculous.
All we have to do is use the + to zoom if you’re really in the way & click on them, so it just means you’re being a jerk for no reason . . .

Hi Gymbo’s friends!
Just checking in… Things haven’t been the best lately. I feel like I’ve been on the verge of tears a lot in the last few weeks. My mental and physical health are suffering and I just really need to have a talk with some people in the next few days. Everyone seems to want something from me lately and typically I’m always that person that shows up. Lately, however, I’ve been feeling like no one is really appreciating all of the things that I do for them. I know if you do something nice for someone, you’re supposed to do it because you actually want to or just out of the kindness of your heart without any expectation that you will receive anything in return… BUT a simple “thank you” would be nice, you know? It’s become so “normal” for me to do all of these things for other people that I don’t think they even think twice about it sometimes!! I need to set some boundaries and get better at saying NO. Any advice on how to be kind, but very clear that I can’t always just drop everything and do everything for everyone???
I actually didn’t come here to vent or anything, but THANK YOU to you all for making this space feel safe and comfortable enough for me to do so. I usually keep things bottled up and to myself most of the time as I don’t want to burden anyone with my problems, especially since a great deal of them stem from a situation that not a lot of people can understand…
Anyway, the REAL reason I came here was to say THANK YOU little leaf for the “tip” on the Newz Room!!! Was the Podkinz Booth awarding prizes during Webkinz Newz Week? I checked Webkinz Newz for that exact information and found nothing, so I clicked on it on the first day of Webkinz Newz Week and saw the videos were 2 and 3 minutes long, and decided I didn’t have time to sit there and wait to end up not even getting a prize at the end of it. I tried to skip ahead to the end, but that didn’t seem to work during Webkinz Newz Week… Though, it did work today when I did it, lol!
Before I go to bed, I just want to say THANK YOU moms for keeping this blog running and up-to-date with the latest events and activities! And THANK YOU dee for helping me with my 2021 Flower Collections! Oh, and re: comment 9 — that resonated with me wayyyyy too much. Yikes!!

moms.. seeing a pet standing in front of the character to click on is one of my pet peeves too ! So aggravating ! I usually click on the chat button and say “follow me”.. which they usually don’t and I end up going to a different room and come back !

Sheba… don’t know if you have checked on the eaglets lately but they are getting so big ! They are starting to flap there wings but I think they have a way to before they are able to fly !
Otterkinz.. Sorry you are struggling but happy you can come here and get some support… I found a NO button in a Hallmark store once.. When you push the button it says NO ten different ways ! Makes me laugh every time!
I am still intrigued by e store announcement on Coming Soon… Anyone have any guess ? New pet being released tomorrow for Deluxe Day in the estore.. I it is called a Tanuki ? googled it and says it is an Australian raccoon dog !
Back to work today ! My boss will taking two weeks off.. beginning the end of the week.. have to say that I am looking forward to not walking on eggshells for a couple of weeks !!
Yet another celebration coming this weekend… My niece’s birthday and her graduation from KSU with Masters degree… She has worked very hard but is having difficulty finding a job….Yes moms… will be getting that “special cake “for the occasion !

Congrats on your niece graduating, Gaga! How exciting! Glad that you will get a break from the boss who needs a vacation. 😉 It is not fun walking on eggshells. Also, thanks for heads up about the eaglets!
Otter – I have trouble with saying “No”, too, but I’m practicing! Ex. I’d love to help, but I’m not able to this time around. Or just flat out….I’m not able to help. I said “no” to something in April. I was the only person that could do what was asked in our whole church. But I said “no”. And it meant that the desired item wouldn’t get done if I didn’t say yes. And it affected the whole community. I felt intense guilt over it, but there was no way that I could do it (normally something that I would be more than glad to help with). It has taken a bit of mental energy to come to terms with it and say “Oh well” and “It’s okay”. Another saying…..”You don’t have to :take the bait”. Self-care is important. If you don’t take care of yourself how can you take care of others? (Not trying to be preachy….but trying to encourage here).
Dee====It is okay to bypass the “clicks”. LOL! Even though I don’t need those cupcakes you don’t know how many times that I have clicked. Arrgghhh! LOL!
Oh….I impulsively adopted the squirrel monkey on Sunday because I wanted a NASA room. Ha ha! 😉 I don’t regret my decision. Squirrel monkey on sale in W-shop under pet specials.
Well…gotta’ run….class starts in 30 minutes.

FYI – about that video in the WKN room in the clubhouse – you can slide the video slider towards the end of the video without letting the whole thing play to get the prize to save some time

And something my mom always taught me is “No.” is a complete sentence – you do not owe anyone an explanation. Maybe you can try that for yourself?

I’m so glad I could help out with the tip! and like Otter said you can click to the last few seconds of the video, so you don’t have to wait through the whole thing.
The newz room first awarded that banner in the newz room around the time of the 2020 election. It was also available few weeks back when we could get those plushies from visiting the newz room. They definitely didn’t advertise it though.

No. (I like the saying that it is a complete sentence). 😉 Good one! And so hard to NOT add to it! Sometimes I feel like adding to it helps soften the blow that I’m not going to say yes. Does that make sense?
Anyhow, I named my monkey “Apollo”. I’m sure there are lots of them with that name. I decided not to go with actual astronauts’ names, although it is cute seeing a Neil Armstrong, etc. in the Kinzville Park. 😉

QoS – I had to learn to say “No, I am sorry, but I am not going to be able to make that commitment.” I know some people won’t take on a new responsibility without “sleeping on it”, but I try to trust my gut & give the no on the spot if I know with some certainty . . .
