    Good Morning All !

moms.. So happy for you that you were able to “see” your kids and have a chat and hear how things are going with them on campus ! What an adjustment for all of you… I am sure it will take a while to settle in and get into a routine of having them at school and you at home missing them and all the activity of having them in/out with friends … Before you know it moms they will be home for Thanksgiving/Christmas. Time marches on so quickly. How is your mom doing ? Is she settled in her new home ? I think you had previously mentioned that her new place is fairly close to your new home !

dee… Doing the happy dance with you… hearing that you do not have to report to jury duty and are going fishing ! Woo Woo ! Enjoy your day ! Hope you have great weather and see lots of nature on your outing ! Watch for the renegade Wallaby who has escaped from somewhere !

Sheba.. Happy your dh was able to fix your dishwasher and get it up and running ! Hopefully it will hold out for a couple more years ! I am up to date with NEXT too and looking forward to the new week starting tomorrow.
Farmers Day Today / Extra WOW too !

All is well here.. Having dinner with a friend today at the OG !
Weather here has been so nice !

    Enjoy the day

fishing in gorgeous weather is probably better than catching in nasty weather :D

gaga – yes, my mom’s new place is about 5 miles from my new house – it’s great – definitely some adjustment & emotion missing my younger one, but i know i will get more used to it in time – it’s nice to hear from them & know they are happy – that makes it better :)

picked up Humphrey from grooming and drove in to 3 new neighbors visiting with a welcome basket gift – very nice of them

    better hide them bra’s moms!

this is the only neighborhood we have lived in that folks came over to say HI
and of course invite us to church
over the years we have exchanged christmas baked goods with two neighbors. one set moved………..then covid……….so now we just wave!
    but they loved my goodies!
speaking of, need to make a cookie tomorrow…………looking at choc chip since it has been awhile
also gonna do a roast chicken this weekend as we try to control our little chest freezer………..thinking po salad would go with that??

driving the kitten crazy when they come up on windowsill or crawl across the screens………….she does not go outside…………but such entertainment for her running window to window

Gaga – My prediction is 6 weeks on the dishwasher. LOL! My dh is predicting 2 years. Regardless, it is a delayed expense.

Moms – nice to have neighborly neighbors!
The place that we moved to when our kids were little had a neighborly “nosy” neighbor. She came over to greet us and told us about the cherry pie that she made for the previous people that lived in our house. They did NOT appreciate her gift so she said she won’t ever do it again. I assured her that we would never turn down cherry pie. But we never got a pie. But we did get someone who watched over us. I would get calls telling me that I shouldn’t open doors to strangers, and that I went grocery shopping too late. She was concerned about my kiddos sitting on the kitchen counter (when they were helping me bake); and I wondered how she could possibly have seen that from her window. I could tell you a thousand other stories, but to wrap it up, I didn’t mind at all (well…maybe a little bit…but I got over it). She was a dear and we all loved her.

qos – that’s a sweet & funny story – she was REALLY watching!

we had great next door neighbors – an older couple with children closer to our age & she baked GREAT chocolate chip cookies for us sometimes – we all looked out for each other & each other’s houses, but nobody “butted in” either – friendly but not overbearing – spying in my windows though would weird me out LOL

She told me the story when I was in her house in the bedroom that she looked out of to see us in our kitchen. I still for the life of me cannot figure out how she would have done it because of the layout. But maybe with binoculars! LOL! It did feel a bit weird, initially. But she was lonely. I think we provided great entertainment!

The place before that one, I also had a “watchful” neighbor. Very nice in so many ways, but hard to get out the house quietly, if you know what I mean.

    Good Morning !

moms.. Nice to have your mom a short distance from your new home !
I think it was nice of your neighbors to stop by and welcome you to the neighborhood.. Seems to be a lost art ! I have lived in my home for 20 years.. one of the first in my block of townhomes… Have reached out to each of the neighbors… seems to come and go .. kind of a transient development and I can say that despite having nurses on either side of me… people just don’t want to sit and visit… Everyone keeps to themselves… I guess I notice it more now that I have more time on my hands…

dee.. I checked the link with the lizards… I am afraid to could not live in a place with those either… Mickeys have thrown me over the edge already !!
Thankfully things are good right now…..but I am constantly looking !!
Not a great way to live … always fearful ..

Sheba.. Will be interesting to see how long your dishwasher lasts ! Happy at least for now that you don’t have that chore to do ! New weeks worth of challenges in NEXT ! The school challenge is available in WW ! Seems pretty easy and not very time consuming… The prizes are very cute too ! Took about a half an hour to finish both levels.

I am getting my haircut/highlighted today.. Needs it very badly ! Hope it gives me an attitude adjustment ! Need a boost !

I hope you all have a good day !

neighborhood get together tonight was casual & nice to meet people – everyone i met was very friendly – there’s this one neighbor though across the street that has not introduced herself & always has this look on her face (rbf if you know what i mean) – idk about her, but the people i met were very nice
