My favorite Chinese food is Walnut Shrimp, I usually get Chicken because it is cheaper. I always like to order some kind of LoMein with my meal.
I think we order Sesame Chicken the most.
I love Chinese and the best option here is to order it take out.

This year the littlest one wanted to be a box troll, but when we found a Hulk costume at the thrift store he gave up the troll idea. We were a little worried about how comfortable walking around with a box would be after an hour or so.
I guess we could use something else. Any ideas?

Now you can see how my day is going. I read Christmas as Chinese, hehehe.
It didn’t make sense, and me trying to do more than one thing at a time, didn’t really question it.
We got a ham free from Shop Rite and picked a spiral cut Ham, you have to pay the difference but it is always worth it. The completely free hams are not spiral cut.
It was gone before the day ended.

The tall boots I have I can wear all day and it’s very comfortable – it’s almost like wearing regular shoes except, of course, it can’t breathe so I have to switch them out when I’m at work. They’ve lasted for years and would still look new except for that I managed to scrape off the label from the back of one of the heels.

Christmas dinner we had ham and my favorite part of the meal was the bread I allowed myself to have. I’ve been trying to be good and limit my sugar/carbs but I allowed myself a guilt free meal and it was delicious. Then I snuck in a nap to let my sugar levels balance out. π

Thank you for the contest TMT. my favorite part of my Christmas dinner was mu Aunt’s Caesar salad. She is in her late 70s and only makes in now for special occasions. It had so much garlic, I think I was blowing fire. But sooo good.

Going through books to read and books I have read.
I wish Amazon would let me sort by the books I have already read, it would make thing so much easier.
I haven’t been reading much in the last few weeks and I can feel the difference. I think reading is my great escape.

I really try to keep an open mind and try reading things to broaden my horizons. I tend to pick the same kind of books and your suggestions are greatly appreciated.

If anyone else had kiddoes up and coming, keep in mind it takes one to three days to get confirmation before you can actually submit and it is first come first served…….most states use it as their in house scholarship apps also…

As far as dressing up for Halloween . I used to take boo to Fall festivals & they dressed up in school. Sadly he is to old for that now.
Where did all the time go. Sniff….
He’s so big…. 6′ last time he was measured…..my little boy is not little anymore…I miss the little one in his pj’s wanting to to snuggle on the couch and was Christmas specials.
He’s growing up that’s good, sometimes it still hard to let go of the little boy who played WW with me. Yikes I just made myself tear up. Good grief.

Great to see so many new people! Does anyone do anything special for New Years Eve? We usually go to a “early evening” celebration with ice slides, ice cream making, hot chocolate,sleigh rides and skating. Then at 8:00 they put on fireworks. A nice family friendly event.

i gotta tell you though, i REALLY remember why i invested in a fake tree a while back. when we took down this tree it was a MESS!!! mind you the tree was probably 10 feet tall & it was the fattest thing i’ve ever seen! imagine 3 adults all holding hands to form a circle. pretty sure that would be the tree at the fattest point. . . so getting it out while it was all dried out & a slimy bottom was SO FUN… π you couldn’t see my carpet for the needles in some areas.

i kept saying “NEVER AGAIN” NEVER AGAIN” dh was laughing so hard i thought i was gonna pee my pants. it could’t fit through the front entry way bc i hadn’t taken down that tree yet. so we had to do a spin around (mind you i’m holding the fattest part of the tree (which is the slimy part, up over my head) to attempt this manuver … it was like carnie act gone bad!

we did live trees (go and cut down and have cocoa and see santa) every year til we moved to Alaska and dh saw how they cost up there! ha ha ha

what is sad about our cheap Chinese tree is the built in lights quit working last year………..so this year instead of spending thirty dollars (!) on a new tree, dh cut off all the old poopy lights and “they” just put strands of lights on the tree

Hi weather was turning bad so I had to go out shopping. We are stocked for food for the next few days now. I started to storm while we were out, rain with little chunks of ice. I accidentally took apart the windshield wiper while trying to get ice off of it. It was on the drivers side of course. Fortunately OD managed to get it back on while I ran in to Paneara to get dinner. I am usually too tired to cook after a shopping trip.
We stay in on New Years. I would make a bunch of appetizers. Not sure what we will do this year all of them are on the no list now. We did go to a roller skating party one year that was fun.

dee, we have a section on the prelit tree that went out, but i just shoved some inside the tree for a quick fix. the whole tree isn’t out, so it seemed kinda crazy to take EVERYTHING out. besides, i always convince myself that i’ll figure out what light is making them not work?! π HA

It’s funny that everyone mentions appetizers on Nye. We usually do the same when we get home. Either that or Chinese/Vietnamese fusion. The place we go has the most amazing shrimp disk called “no-name shrimp”. They are deep fried in a crispy batter then smothered in rich coconut cream sauce with bacon. It sounds weird but the combo of sweet and salty really works.
