   Good Wednesday Morning

   We are celebrating my ds’s 18th today. We will have bbq filet mignon, spinach salad with a warm topping of sauteed bacon, onions and mushrooms, and of course, cream corn?! For dessert he wants an ice cream cake from Dairy Queen.

   My dd took her brother clothes shopping as his gift from her. She bought him a vintage 1970s GWG jean jacket. They have so much fun together which is the best gift they could give me.

   Moms new is my favorite colour too. Amazing.

   Gaga I hope you are surviving all the work turmoil. I had lunch with my best friend yesterday, she is a nurse too for over 25 years. She tells me the best stories of the sweet people she cares for in rehab. She used to work in ortho until she was injured by a patient because they were short staffed. I really wish the “management” would remember people on the front lines work the hardest and get treated the worst by all sides and still keep doing the job because they actually care about others.

   Zingy I hope your man isn’t as injured as it sounds. I have been watching the fires in your area. Please stay as safe as possible.

   Boper and Mist congrats on your rooms being shown.

   I have so much more to type but the students are looking for breakfast. Be back later to write more.

   I am not a fan of these new exclusives. Exclusive items should be really fun and interesting so they hold more value. The sign has very limited versatility. The heart clock is a nice decoration but it doesn’t scream “exclusive”. I don’t even know what the third item is. Like I couldn’t even give it a name. WTF is it? A cardboard castle? Why are there seashells on it? I just don’t understand.

   Gaga, I’m glad you liked your gift! I had been looking all over my house and side accounts for months and couldn’t find it, so I just traded for one 😛

    LOL Boper! I agree about the exclusives. Not impressed by them. I was wondering what the castle was also… it’s ugle for sure. I’ve actually been hoping they would make new colors of the lava lamps. I loooove those and they are fun to decorate with. ❤️

    i was just glad to see some new things that aren’t just recolored – sheesh tough crowd! hahaha! i really am kidding around – i totally know what you mean and am hoping for some animation or something with the clock and wondered the same as boper about the sand castle looking thing – it looks like a set piece for a play or something ratchet like that 😀

    Today is National Reptile Awareness Day in the Odd Holiday section at e store if anyone is interested…

    Would LOVE new colors of lava lamps. I actually like it when they recolor old items, although “new” is definitely good as well.

    I just walked through my dd old WW house, and saw she had a couple of lavas. She started playing about a year before I did, so she has some cool things. I have done a little bit of raiding if she had two of something, since she hasn’t played for 7-8 years. Plus, I like to add things to her account just in case she ever came back (like I did), so she has all of the 10 year stuff, Christmas trees, Halloween items, etc. She thinks it’s cool that I still play, even though she doesn’t. What can I say? Sometimes the simpler things in life make me happy ,,, when the rest of life can be so complicated … 😉

    Supposed to be beautiful, crisp, sunny, and 70 here today. Our school is having it’s walk-a-thon today, so we will have nice weather to enjoy. Happy Thursday everyone!

    i love seeing them add something new, not just recolored. the alarm clock looks adorable. the castle makes me think of stuff from the musee mechanique museum. i hope it’s animated. i do miss the retired plant exclusives that go in most rooms and wish they’d make new versions of those.

    zingy – that sparkle plant and rainbow cactus are my favs for decorating! i would love some more like that – glittery palm trees or something would be great!

    our friend from texas is stopping in saturday nite and staying over to head on to OH on sunday…………dh is leaving for MI on sunday to deliver a lawn mower…i am finally gone start painting dds bathroom! hooray

    dh already knows he has to do the high up spots……i am not good with heights, even a little stepstool…………..should have seen me going down the steps at the eiffel tower when the elevator broke………..thankfully the peeps that i was with had purchased some wine earlier in the day! ha ha ha ha ha

    blaze has really good pizza. there’s one in the mall nearby and i haven’t heard anyone say anything bad about it. we often pick toppings and just pile them on. it’s a great deal even at a regular price.

    alas, my hon apparently tore 80% of this quadruceps (the front thigh muscle) when he fell so he’s scheduled for surgery this coming monday. hopefully it’s uneventful and he’ll be much better soon.

    been trying to keep my head above water on my assignments this quarter. I only had today to do at least four. and that’s why I’m so busy. I’ve only 100% finished 2 of them so far. heheh at least one is just an edit.

    Hello! Hope everyone is well on this FINE FRIDAY MORNING! Been keeping myself busy these last few days. My dog Bailey has not been feeling well again. We had to adjust his insulin. He’s been having A LOT of trouble getting up. His paws slide all over these wood floors. I have been lifting him often. He is 45lbs of dead weight…doing quite a number on my back. But, once he is up, he seems ok. His spirits are high. Always been such a great dog. Hopefully, this insulin adjustment gets him back to normal.

    And, my washing machine is broken again! For the 4th time. First 3 times were because quarters were stuck in the pump. Horrible crunching sounds and weeks of frustration over $1. We were scheduled to have one delivered, then discovered the change and cancelled. Now, I think the pump is finally dead. Ugh. Always something!

    Dh birthday is on Tuesday. But, he has determined that celebrations should begin this afternoon and last for the duration. Very strange. I would rather not have any more birthdays…just cake! Got a few things planned, though. Gonna have some fun!

    Gaga, I started watching “This is Us” earlier this week on HULU. Kind of addicting. I am usually not into TV Drama, but this one got me. I am still in season 1. But, making quick progress.

    Looking forward to halloween this year. I bought a costume shirt that has xray vision…so you can see a rib cage…and baby girl! Then, I bought one for dh that has a rib cage and a full pizza. Pretty funny. We’ve got two parties to attend. I feel like a kid!

    gotta visit the ghost too – today ended up being a crazy “mission to find the perfect outfit” day – Target had this cute top, but it took two stores not the one closest to me to track it down and then I needed pants … so yep, i have the perfect shirt (and some spares oops) and two pairs of pants depending on if i decide to dress it up or dress it down …

    but that & a hair appointment & my day was g-o-n-e
