Well, good news! Dh isn’t flying anywhere today.
Bad news…his dad tested positive for covid and now we get to quarantine and hope we don’t get it. Dh was camping with his father last week. His father is fine (mild symptoms), that crusty old fart will out live us all.
It’s also shark week, so I’ll be on the couch for the rest of the day watching football and eating a bag of halloween candy.

Dee – Another kitty, another kitty! I went to the “friend” store a couple of days ago and fell in love with a kitty with a “dot” on the nose. I knew immediately that she was DOT. She had an extremely loud purr and a scratchy meow that was a bit off. Awww! But did not adopt. Still have my 19 year old cat and a kitten just would not work right now with present cat’s health issues. Also, I have said “no more cats”. I am allergic to them and I would love to experience what it is like to not deal with that allergy! But not sure how I will hold out.
Love the Stella Halloween pics, April! Sorry about your f-i-l though! Sorry that you all have to quarantine, but probably best to be safe! My youngest dd is just coming out of quarantine. She had been exposed to someone with Covid at work. She is back to teaching tomorrow.
Speaking of Covid = my cousin died of covid yesterday. 🙁 He was about my age. He had a pre-existing condition. I am very sad about it. I have been hearing too much sad news lately.
A busy week ahead and I can’t believe how busy WW is keeping us all. It’s almost too much!
Oh….speaking of wind….the wind is blowing through some of the vents in our house and it either sounds like singing or something really eerie. Which reminds me….we had an awesome Halloween in our neighborhood. Best one ever! We had tables outside and made candy bags ahead of time. Kids just came by in costumes and grabbed a bag. Some of the kids had tongs to pick up the bags with. 😉 We met earlier in the evening and there was great community spirit. All done with social distancing, masks, etc. One neighbor even catapulted candy from the roof of her house to the trick-or-treaters below. Overall, the event was a great boost to the morale!

Happy Monday all!
Thanks everyone for the well wishes for FIL. He’s doing really well. Dh talks to him at least twice a day and SIL (his daughter) is keeping a close eye on him. Mild symptoms thankfully. He’s just bored and not easily controlled. Hence the ‘crusty old fart’ moms. 🙂 Dh is getting tested today or tomorrow, he has no symptoms. I really hope we don’t get this.

sheba—I am so sorry about your cousin. Thoughts and prayers to your family. This whole thing has taken such a toll on everyone. I’m glad your dd is safe and heading back to teaching tomorrow. Yes, better to quarantine and be safe. I can deal, but Dh is like a caged animal. It’s going to be a long 14 days. Your neighborhood sounds amazing! What awesome community spirit. We so need that right now. We had plans to sit outside with a couple of neighbors at distance and Dh was going to have the kids open their bags and he was going to toss the candy at them and make it a game. But then we got the news and we were lights out. Turns out only a few kids were out anyway.
Dh just came in my office dancing around and said “Do you know we are going to be together non stop through next Wednesday? We are going to get so much accomplished.”
Then he went into the kitchen and has come back into my office two more times, went back down the hallway and bellowed “I don’t like being quarantined!” help me

Boper…I won’t be able to update my list until later this week. And I tried to say your Webkinz Next name really fast, but I give up.
I think my name is Lil’ Golden Flower. I can’t check because I am without internet until technician can come on Wednesday. I don’t have iphone, so not sure I can download on android device. Meanwhile, I am extremely frustrated about this because I wanted to stay on top of challenges. Sigh.
By the way, a big thank you to the donor of my awesome Halloween treat! I am so excited.

As far as the new game goes, I have mixed feelings about it. I will admit that it is cute and I know alot of work went into making it possible. There are a lot of features in the game that I wish were possible for Webkinz Original.
I don’t want to be negative but I have to admit that my heart sank when I realized that all the beta testing was for new game and not original webkinz. I was excited when I heard request for beta testers because I thought the were working on improvements for Webkinz. I was hopeful that work was being done on Kinzville Academy and other cool features that some have been asking for, such as a search feature for items, etc. I felt let down. I hate that I feel that way.
I have wondered if that is why there is an over abundance of activities in WW right now to reassure us that Webkinz is continuing.

QoS – my mom lives in a senior living place close to my house
she has injuries from a couple of falls several years ago and needs some assistance. she’s super independent, so she didn’t want to move in here. we are very very close, so she was also afraid it would strain our relationship. she’s probably right because she’s so outspoken & i have teenagers & don’t need complaints about the noise or the friends or our spontaneity LOL i remind her all of the time that her bedroom & bathroom are waiting for her here though

Dee, go for it if you think your kitty will like having another friend, after spanky passed, piggy mourned as hard as I did…we thought about another cat…but honestly we don’t think piggy will accept it he’s very very spoiled now. Though I still think about it….I’ve always been a multi kitty house too…

Boper… nice to see you ! I have not downloaded the new game yet..I am reading that they will be releasing new “plushies” for the new game soon… I have always been resistant to change but I am sure I will eventually try it out !

A couple of my coworkers who have parents in facilities say things are very restricted again… Back to in room dining and no face to face visitation .
It really breaks my heart for all of the seniors and their families who remain so isolated..It has been so long… I am thankful everyday that my mom is home despite all the challenges of keeping her there.
One of the cafeteria workers who has been home since March is returning tomorrow !! Planning on bringing in a “Welcome Back” cake and having a little celebration… They are restricting her to one day per week … Although she is mentally challenged she understands that the virus is serious she is so ready to come back and see all of us who she affectionately call the “lunch ladies” !
Chants … hope you are continuing to recover from your hand surgery and will be able to do some sewing soon !

Off today but going in to celebrate the return of our favorite cafeteria worker who is returning today…. after being home since March due to the virus.
Unfortunately our office is closed today so there will not be too many of us to
celebrate but I know she will be happy to see us !
