dh kidnapped me today!
long drive for nothing, but very pretty drive……..i need to look at real estate near there! and it is his fault!
and miss bepsy – thanks for all the intel
gaga – i got nuttin for ya……….my grandma had a fall and broke her shoulder, my mom put her in rehab and while she was there, my mom cleaned out her apt and had her ready to go into and old farts place……..altho my mom had her on the list for months! to get in………but my grandma was in her mid nineties at that point. It was a really cool place. grandma had pretty much a studio apt with her own bed and her furniture with own bath……..basically just had folks checking in on her all the time… beauty parlor, wine nite and pet fashion shows…………kind of funny as one trip up north (with dh and dd), she wanted me to spend the nite with her (like i did as a kid)………..i saw the full size bed and just said no…………in hindsight, i kind of wish I had…………she was there for years! years!
she died at 103 at a full care place……….
oh yeah………….she was extremely p.ohed at my mom…………but what was the choice?
i have some other not so nice elder care stories, but i do not wish to share on here
basically……….those that fought care…………did not turn out well

Done with work and school until after the new year. Also done with all of my christmas shopping. So glad to be done with everything, but I don’t know what I’m gonna do with myself for the next two weeks. It’s day one of having nothing to do and I’m already bored.

i wanted a million of those lights but ran out of time
pranks (girls vs boys) started the minute they finished performing & ended up with a huge prank war in front of my house when the girls showed up – i finally got the girls to go back where they are staying (30 mins away!) & the boys back inside around maybe 1 am
gosh i hope they didn’t wake any of the neighbors – the teen boys hanging out next door came outside & acted obnoxious, but they probably thought they were doing something to their cars out there or something because there were 30 kids & smoke bombs & flour & all kinds of noise . . .

Hey LL, I believe that you can. Even on occasion when the webkinz team has said otherwise I have gotten gifts on mobile. However, I would definitely make sure you do see it in your dock on mobile if you choose to do it that way.

Moms, I sent email with pictures of 3d xmas tree cake I’m working on. It’s lighted, and has a marzipan train in front. I also have marzipan ornaments, but can’t put on till just before I leave for party.. the pics don’t really do it justice, as it’s white and glitters, hard to see in pics. Plus I made a huge platter of chocolates..though I’m told by a friend it looks like cookies! Lol

Moms, I do not know how you do it with all the kids coming over!! Bless you woman! I’m not sure I’d be able to do what you do. The boys only had a few friends over at a time..they weren’t into parties. Except the youngest did say he wanted a sweet 16..dh family told him that’s for girls! But I threw him one anyway and decorated in blue and gave him a prince party hat lol he loved it. I couldn’t see anything wrong with it.

Dh kids didn’t live in this state till they were 13 and 15. So they didn’t have alot of friends at first…so most parties were family oriented. But I did my best for them. Being a stepmother isn’t always easy..had to tread carefully, so as to not rock the boat..but that’s another story..lol
Anywho…I think you are a great mom. Sounds like all the kids friends like going to your house!

Finally got my mom settled into “respite care” for at least one week… She is very upset with me… She hung up on me this morning after she said ” I’m not staying”… Feeling very guilty but I am trying to tell myself …it was time.

Browns loss yesterday and all of the drama during the game ended any
chances of the playoffs ! One more game next weekend in Cincinnati and it will all be over ! Such hype at the beginning of the season with such great aspirations………………….Maybe next year.
Himself helped get his grandmother settled yesterday… He is such a good kid!! Finished his semester with straight A’s and 4.0 … Such a proud gaga I am !
Going out to try and get a week’s worth of running around done in one day !
Hate the crowds.. hate the traffic… but HO HO HO.. Tis the season…
Will be spending a traditional Chistmas Eve at one of my sisters…Will try not to let my mother’s incarceration spoil my evening with the family !

Good morning all!
It’s hard to believe Christmas is only two days away!! And that 2020 is just on the horizon after that!!! I have so much catching up to do both in real life and in terms of Webkinz stuff, but I’m not pushing myself to do too much yet. On Saturday when I got home from my trip, I got sick several times. Then I basically spent all of yesterday in bed. Clearly my body is trying to tell me something…
Anyway, I hope all are well! One of my goals for 2020 is going to be to get caught up on stuff and STAY caught up!!! I miss knowing what’s going on with everyone here!

i just made the saran wrap ball for Christmas day with the nephews – i don’t know if i mentioned doing that for the first time last year??? i have a big commercial box of saran wrap – you wrap up little toys, trinkets, lip balm, candy, gift cards, coins, cash, etc. into a big ball (just gear whatever you put into to the age group that plays – i wish i had made one for the adults too because they loved watching the kids last year – it would be funny with even mini bottles & stuff). everyone sits in a circle, one person has dice, then the person to their left has the ball – the one person tries to unwrap the ball as fast as they can (NO RIPPING THROUGH THE WRAP!) keeping all of the prizes they completely free while the person on their right is rolling the dice – when they get doubles on the dice, they grab the ball, the person to their right grabs the dice & starts rolling . . . it can go around and around until it is all done
gaga – i could see your college kids even getting into it
the possibilities are endless – lip balm, nail polish, travel size things, candy, gift cards, small bills (put big bills & let me play!), i put a card game, some toys, a rubix cube, a christmas headband, fuzzy socks – really any smaller stocking stuffer type thing – you could put uno in it – just anything – the bigger the ball the better 😀

Dee, my sister makes those cookies for us for Christmas every year … she drizzles them with an almond glaze … they are beyond amazing! Basically, pure butter and sugar, I think. Can’t beat that.
Gaga, your upbeat attitude in the middle of such drama is so inspiring. Congrats to your nephew on his grades. Sounds like he really is adjusting well.
