To your question…currently I’m really liking the silver laptop that is kinda new. several of my webkinz are novelists, teachers, or work in publishing, etc. I like that the silver laptop doesn’t look like a toy.

My favorite all time item is probably the Violet Volcano Lamp – I love the red lava (Mauna Loa Lamp) & it makes me so excited to see one, but the purple one is my favorite color of them!

But when she said she wanted to teach, think I said something like ‘are you crazy?’ she’s a smart gal and ignored me. any child with her for a teacher is blessed. ♥

LOL I have moved rooms all over the place!! My goal was to put like rooms together. Now I have a giant maze of a home with holes in places and what not. Still the method seems to work well. I haven’t had any problems other than forgetting where my rooms are now.

I think my favorite webkinz world item is the pet of the month donut seeds. When my son was little and still got excited about webkinz we would go out every month and get the POTM in hopes of getting them. When I actually did get them he was happy but had stopped caring about ww long ago. I now have 2 packs sitting in my dock. They are a reminder of a fun hobby spent with my little guy.

I have to say my favorite Webkinz item of my whole Webkinz “career” is the Brown Dog Sofa. I bought the brown dog only because I wanted his item for my Bungalow room, and he ended up being one of my favorite pets, and his item is definitely high on my list. I also have a retired tea service rare item that I’m pretty proud of, but it just sits there. 🙂
I got Kiddo a box of 6 cookies: he’s redeemed 3 of them so far- got a ski hill, Rescue Pack, and Rescue helmet.

As to what my favorite item..that’s really hard..but I can say my favorite theme is the medieval ..will that do?
In real life, I do tudor period costuming and attend rennisance fairs. And I’m obsessed with studying the correct way to authenticly recreate the clothing. I’ve even attended a class when the Tudor Tailors came from England to teach..they actually were hosted in my home tiwn!!! Plus they also gave a free show at a college up in Massachusetts. .and I drove up there to attend! Yes, I’m a period costume nerd..lol

Oh no, you’re asking the tough questions now lol. My favorite item in ww has to be the holiday tubby tummies bear plush. It has to be the thing that I have been the most excited to get ever. I especially love collecting plushies in webkinz world along with clothes, so that’s my answer and I’m sticking to it. If I were to pick a favorite piece of clothing though, it would be the roman head wreath, it looks good on many of my pets and goes with many outfits.

moms I remember at some point I owned the red lava lamp, but at the time I wasn’t concerned with collecting furniture so I traded it away for old clothing. those old lamps are hard to find in the trading room these days so I am excited to see them too, and they are good decorations. I think I just have a blue one now.

Moms- no problem! In truth, I spent 20,000 points in the eStore and got these for “free” so I thought I’d share them. I’m sure anyone else would have better luck feeding them than I would.
Still getting through a few more wishlists, so don’t feel bad if you haven’t gotten anything from me yet. Some of you had some very hard wishes to come by – or worse, no wishes at all :/
Speaking of which, 66Muffin, I don’t think the Pile of Presents is sendable. I’m 50% sure it is an eStore item, but with any luck it will be in the eStore around Webkinz Day (if you can wait 3 months).

Favorite item? That’s a hard one. I’ve always liked the stuffed animals, especially the valentines tubby tummies they had as the valentines day gift years ago. Oh, and the fat chick plushies!!! I loved those! I made a room just for my fat chicken army, I think there’s 30-40 of them in there. I really like the signature siamese psi, don’t know the name of it, but it’s some fancy statue thing with a siamese cat at the top. I love the siamese kitties. No idea what i’d so with it if I ever get it because it doesn’t really go with anything. Maybe I could have my fat chicken army guard it? Yep, that’s what I’m gonna do.

Oh, Gaga, you asked about our renos- ARGH! There’s still been NO progress! Our insurance claim manager is virtually MIA and incommunicado when it comes to our claim- he’s not answered ANY calls, messages, voicemails, OR emails for WEEKS! We finally asked for another manager to be assigned to our claim!! He supposedly cut the check to us today, so we’ll have the cash in-hand soon, we hope. And the first general contractor company was peeved to hear that we were going to have someone else install the new floor (preventing them from getting close to $2,000 from our job), and they DROPPED us, and we’re trying to find our own contractors. One guy they recommended came to do an estimate last Thursday. He promised an estimate by Friday- here is is Tuesday night, and we’re heard NOTHING from him as well. This is such a pain in the behind. If my mom hadn’t gifted us the new carpet we have, we’d STILL have 0 access to 2/3 of our house!!! We’re stressing, and really getting upset about this. We were patient and flexible through Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s, but now holidays are done, and we’d like to become someone’s priority, please!

Hmm, what one thing would I want more than anything else? Raziel Dragon Slide. I have just about everything else, I missed a couple of really nice collection events and slowly I have acquired the items. With some really helpful other people I have been able to get the Hamster items I was never able to get with my moolahs. I was saving to do one big splurge and I left for a bit, only to come back and discover everything in Mazin Hamsters was GONE! I had two lovely beds and that was all.

I’ve loved reading everyone’s favorites! There are so many items to love, but my very favorite is probably the Christmas Wardrobe that came with the plush Christmas carrier. I bought one of those carriers for my daughter’s plush pets one year for Christmas when she was little. When she registered the code on her account, neither of us knew what the prize would be. When I saw the wardrobe, I went on and on about how cute it was. Later that evening, she gifted it to me. She did the same thing a few years later with her Zodiac Ram’s carousel psi because she knew how much I loved it. Every time I see those two items, I think of her and how much fun we had playing together when she was little. Of all the items on my account, those are the last two I would ever part with.
Puma – I feel your remodeling pain! We’re in the same boat. I can’t tell you how many contractors we’ve had come out and tell us that they would send us an estimate, and we never hear back from them! And the crazy thing is, some of them stay for a really long time taking measurements and asking detailed questions. How is that good business for them? I had one guy stay for an hour and a half, had me come out to his office to review the contract, and he had added on so much stuff that we didn’t want. He used high pressure sales tactics to try to get me to finance an extra $10,000. I told him I wasn’t interested in financing anything. We’re paying as we go. So he completely ditched us, wouldn’t return emails or calls. His secretary finally emailed me and told me to stop calling because they weren’t interested in the job. Another guy was at our house for 2 hours, said he’d have an estimate to us by the weekend. I texted him several times. He kept promising he would send it. He never did. LOL. It’s crazy! They don’t get paid for that time. This past week I’ve had two drywall contractors trying to underbid each other, which worked out well for us. We got a good deal, and they guys started hanging the drywall today. It’s supposed to be done by the end of the week. But this is after several weeks of going through contractors who won’t call me back. I will be so glad when this nightmare is over!
I started my new job yesterday. I absolutely love it, but the drive is beyond awful. I also got a call last week from another place I had applied to. I interviewed with the HR director on Friday afternoon. The interview was an hour and a half and went incredibly well. They called me back first thing Monday morning to schedule me for a second interview with the clinical director and department manager. I told them that the only availability I have now is in the evening, so they are staying late tomorrow evening to meet with me again. I’m really torn now. The job I currently have is perfect other than the drive. I love the organization. It’s non-profit and provides a wonderful service to the community. I’m in management, which I love. Everyone has been so nice. I have my own, super nice office, and there is the potential that I can partially work from home after orientation, but orientation will be months due to the scope of the job.
This other job that I’m still interviewing for is a cake job. It’s super easy, and I enjoy the work. It’s not a management level position, and the pay will probably be a lot less, but it’s practically in my backyard. It’s only a 10 minute drive. They are completely flexible with what hours I work as long as the work gets done. And they are completely open to me working from home. So I’m really torn now. If this other place extends an offer, I will have to decide whether to stay at a job I’ve already started, that I really like, and that is an incredible professional opportunity, but means being gone 12 hours a day 5 days a week with the round trip commute. Or leave a job I’ve already started (which I really hate to do) to take a much easier, super convenient job. I guess I’ll wait to see if I actually get the other offer before worrying too much about it, but I think there is a good chance they could make me an offer tomorrow evening or Thursday. Meh… grown up decisions. I’m already missing the days when my most difficult decision was whether to stay up half the night playing Jumbleberry Blast or go to sleep. 😀

Chococat, From all I have read, Mazin Hamsters shut down on September 9, 2015. There were so many items my grandson just loved. His favorite was doing the Moolah Mountain. He even managed to get himself quite a few room items before it shut down, including the Tiki Hamster Statue. He actually cried the day he could no longer access Mazin Hamsters. It’s one of those moments I wish Ganz could have seen for themselves. It was a deep hurt for a little boy and wounded me even deeper. He quickly lost interest in Webkinz after that.

Changing rooms is great! I spent one Saturday morning moving everything all around and grouping like rooms together. I thought it was pretty easy, but yes, sometimes now I can’t remember where I put something. I do remember what I called it, so maybe my next request to ganz is a search feature? or a go to ?
I’ll have to think more about favorite items. There are so many! I love the road trip stuff for some reason (I think it’s the concept more than the items). I love all of the Christmas trees. I think my favorite was the one where we could change the ornaments.
I still need to catch up on reading the blog. We’re at the end of the semester, and already back in the thick of school. I need another vacation!

I’m not participating in the contest, so don’t count this as an entry, lol! (And don’t count this as a sneaky way to grant a wish, either, Sir Boper!
) I would have to say my favorite WW item of all time is the Alyssa Music Box. When that was first offered, it was only given to like ten people on some social media contest. We all know I don’t do social media, so I was devastated that there was no way to earn it. When it started being awarded as a prize for floating Ws in 2015, I was ecstatic, and managed to acquire enough music boxes to put at least two on every account. Music boxes are one of my favorite things to collect in WW, and the Alyssa Music Box is my favorite among the music boxes. It’s the perfect size for a table (and it looks amazing on that gold table from the Fairy Tale WShop theme), the music is charming, and I really like the animation of the item. I have music box collection rooms on at least four accounts, and the Alyssa Music Box is the centerpiece of each room, lol! I was so excited when I saw the PSI for the Be Merry Bear, because that’s the first new music box we’ve had in several years. We need more music boxes, because there’s only eleven music boxes to collect, and I’ve got ’em all.

As for my favorite item, it would be the Over Stuffed Stocking. One of the only things I collect are holiday stockings. This is from the Santakinz Workshop Theme.
The other day, my kids were saying that they missed the hamster game. My kids liked playing the Moolah Mountain game. I could never play that game because it made me feel sick.

Not joining the contest, reading about the favorite items is interesting. Goodness there are so many stories behind different items I am not sure what to pick. One of the items I like the best is a screen that shows some room collections. It is from the cards.
My parents decided to remodel the downstairs for my highschool graduation party some thirty years ago. I still shudder thinking about it. They started when I was in 10th grade it wasn’t finished until shortly after senior prom. You ladies have my sympathy. Although it wasn’t as bad as some neighbors who spent a summer showering in a jury rigged set up in the kids tree house because their bathroom was tore up for four months. The husband did it himself.

i still have a lot of catching up to do, but i just wanted to comment to rubycubes first – rubycubes – that is a difficult decision! you’ll have to see what kind of offer you get to see if the difference in pay outweighs the difference in the commute – there’s cost with your vehicle & your time, and also consider what your goals are for the next 5 years – do you want to earn some money and have it more laid back or do you want to “get it” and have the management and growth opportunity? there’s times when one of those options is better than the other, so it depends where you are personally on that …
let us know what happens with the 2nd interview!

Gramma – Congrats to your eldest dd for the teacher of the year award!
Foxblox – I don’t think we’ve met! How cool that you got to go to the Sight and Sound Theatre a lot growing up. I think I’ve been to three other ones before the Jesus one. (Noah’s Ark and Abraham & Sarah & one of the Christmas themed ones). I really liked all of them. The one thing I liked about the recent one was the sense of humor that Jesus had. I never pictured him that way and I first I wasn’t sure that I liked it. But in reflection, it was a meaningful aspect of the play. I loved the diversity of actors and the how the play reinforced the importance of women in the story. Very meaningful to me as a mom & woman. 🙂 And of course, I love the use of live animals (camels, sheep, goats, dogs, birds, horses and so on. The way they made the seaside scenes so realistic made me feel I was actually there.
RubyCubes – Glad you are enjoying your new job. What a dilemma you are in regarding possibility of another one. I guess it ultimately depends on what your end goal is. If advancing is a goal the present one sounds best. But wow, a job close by with more flexibility is tempting, too!
Dixie – It took me a while to figure out the wish list posting here. I still feel rather unsure, but trying to keep mine updated. To be honest, I’ve hardly had time for Webkinz over the past month. Keeping up with my WW forums has been on hold, too. Hoping to get back into the swing of things, soon. I might be able to help you figure it out if we could find a time to work on it.
For the contest – One of my favorite items are the lava lamps – especially the purple one, which is one of my favorite colors. I only have the blue lava lamp, I believe. I was not into collecting when I first started in WW, so I missed lots of opportunities for cool stuff! I have always loved anything stained glass (probably got that from my pastor dad, who loves to collect pictures of churches, especially with stained glass windows). I was ecstatic when I got the Nafaria & Alyssa stained glass windows.

Speaking of the medallion contest, I really wanted to design a pet for it, but I didn’t have time with school and at the beginning of break. I wanted to design my favorite dog breed- the Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever. It’s too late now, but I made it today just for fun. It’s really just a recolor of the Apricot Schnoodle Puppy, but that’s kinda what they look like. And I made it into a puppy because the name wasn’t long enough already. 😛
I imagined that the PSI would be a 3×3 lake with bushes around it and little ducks floating in it, and it functions like a pool. When the pet jumps in the pool, the ducks scurry off into the bushes. Maybe too much for the game designers to handle but it would be fun. And the PSF would be duck shaped kibble.

Boper – Adorable pup! I’m glad you went ahead and designed it even though the contest was over. Thanks for sharing it! My daughter designed two pets for the contest, and I submitted them to the Share Center. Neither of them made it to the finals. I was so disappointed. One was a Springy Spider with a round yellow center and white flower pedals for legs. I thought it was such a cute idea. The PSI was a springy trampoline made of spider webbing that would have matched the spider web beds from the Halloween theme a few years ago.

Moms and Sheba – Thanks for the feedback! I had the second interview for the other job this evening. I met with the clinical director this time, and the interview lasted an hour. It couldn’t have gone better! The organization is a non-profit charity, and I’m every bit as excited about this place as the other. She didn’t offer me the position, but she said that I would definitely hear from her by Friday. Originally, I was told that they would be conducting interviews for the next couple weeks, so it sounds to me like they’ve made a decision. We didn’t talk about pay or benefits, but I don’t think I even care at this point. As long as the pay and benefits are decent for the position, I’m willing to take less. This place is awesome! It’s brand new and the organization is growing, and there is a lot of room for advancement here as well. She said that this position will ideally turn into a supervisor position with the “right” candidate. I don’t really care if it doesn’t. I love the simple scope of this position as it is, but I totally have the ability to take it to that level if I get invested in the position. I’m hoping she calls me with an offer tomorrow. As much as I hate to resign from the position I’ve just started, I would be so much happier at this other place. It’s so close, and the work is right up my alley.

Moms- yes I use an instapot! My favorite is pulled pork. Literally so easy. I do a lot of large servings of rice and beans. I’ve made pasta as well but it feels a little too boujee to make pasta in a pressure cooker so I usually make it the normie way on the stove lol.
Dee- I’ve never made those things, but let me know how it works out.
Shannon- good choice. I sometimes forget how fun the PSFs are.

Yep, I’m an instant pot owner. Never heard of an air fryer! Back to the instant pot….the only thing I have made in it on a regular basis are pinto beans or black beans. I have done large amounts of chicken for taco graduation party for dd last May.
My dd went to my friend’s house (funny!) and they cooked up batches of instant pot recipes that you freeze and transfer to the pot on a night when you need a quick meal. The first one that I did (“Naan” – an Indian dish) burned on the bottom. So I took it out and just reheated it in the microwave. LOL! (Already cooked by the way).
After reading up on it and talking with my friend we decided that the best way to heat it in the instant pot was to put it in another bowl and put a couple inches of water in the bottom. So maybe I’ll give that a try. Meanwhile, I’m a bit afraid to use the instant pot. But my friend swears by it. She never uses a stove/oven anymore. Sigh! And unlike Dee, I really don’t enjoy cooking to the point of trying new things. Occasionally the mood will strike. Ha ha!

I wish the snowflakes were like they used to be where if you were playing a game when the snowflake was supposed to float by, it would float by when you finished the game. Now you just miss the flake altogether. I’ve been on webkinz a lot today and yesterday playing games for the challenges, but I haven’t gotten any snowflakes. Not a big loss because the only prize I care about is the window, but it’s still a bit annoying.
Tried going to the trading room to trade while I wait for snowflakes, but it kept glitching. None of the pets would show up or when they did, my pet would just freeze. Giving up on it for the day.

dee… the only info I have about why your hair may have gone curly….could be hormonal changes… have seen women who have gone through chemo hair grows back with a different texture…thyroid issues.. but hair usually thins ..

In took only 20 minutes, Chant. Mostly thanks to all the work TLL does to keep the Webkinz Picture Guide so organized. It also helps that I know the exact names of most items in WW (not proud of it). I do have trouble with food and clothing though.
We should have a winterfest item swap! The event ends tomorrow.
Bitterly cold here today. Feels like 3°F. Maybe that’s not too much below the norm for this time of year here, but I need someone to validate that this is cold. I think the fact that we don’t have any snow makes it a little worse, because it is just downright depressing looking at the bare trees and brown grass.

I finally got one of those sleek new jackets, this morning, so maybe my very loud whining was heard by someone other than the neighbor’s dogs.
Boper, love the pics below the wishes! Sometimes items have confusing names. I really hope they get an alphabetized search function for items in WW.
I tried to declutter, once, and all I ended up wit was frustration. Some duplicates (like rares and Deluxe machine items) I don’t want to get rid of because you never know what Ganz will ultimately retire. I have a ‘few’ Magnificent Iwan Rest beds.
As for Air Fryer cooking? I just bought this one in November, but I’m not really a stranger to it. We’ve had an Acti-fry for about 6 years, now. But because of the paddle, you can only make certain foods. It’s not good for anything sloppy, like Chili or Spaghetti sauce, but it can make the best greaseless fries you ever ate! And suddenly, I began experimenting with different potatoes. Not all potatoes taste the same. Russets have a mealier texture, Red Pontiacs and Detroit’s have a smooth texture. But the potato’s flavour isn’t masked by the oil. I have used a teaspoon of a variety of oils in the air fryer and they also enhance the flavour. Peanut oil is the only one that doesn’t seem to affect flavour as much to me.
I have fried chicken wings, chicken drums, spring rolls (tightly wrapped) and a few other things quite successfully.
Right after I got the air fryer, I saw that Actifry has released a basket that now sits on the post where the paddle usually goes. For a LOT less than I paid for the new air fryer. I’m tempted to go and get that because I’m familiar with the actifry and I don’t have the steep learning curve.
Once my time becomes my own, again, I’ll make that decision. For now, anyone, here on Fecebook …. oops .. Inside voice, Facebook can find a ‘support group’ for Air Fryer users.

I sort am looking forward to Winterfest to be over- I’m looking forward to not having to sit in front of a screen to catch floaties, and can maybe knit or crochet after bedtime!

Boper, that IS cold. That works out to -15 where I am and believe me, that’s cold. If you have wind, it’s even worse. Little dogs do not want to go outside when it gets like this. You have to scrape windows, warm up vehicles, wear mitts (YUCK) at this point, though, it doesn’t snow as much.

Dee, I think, the air fryer is an awesome alternative. Your fries are crispy, not grease laden. Less than a tbsp of oil and all your fries are golden brown and yummy perfect! Crispy fried chicken? Easy peasy and because it’s stirred as the heat swirls around, they are evenly heated and better than the Colonel’s own! The Air fryer is along the same principle as the heat swirls around the food it cooks it through and through, without radiation! Without a gallon of oil that’ll sit stinky in a fryer till you get to it. And best of all, you don’t go downtown smelling like a Fish’n’chip shop.

I finally found the name and a pic of my favorite item: 2008 Make-It-Merry Christmas Tree. I don’t remember it being estore … I think we bought something that had the code in it. I do have some WW Christmas ornaments around here somewhere, so we probably got the codes in those. Anyway, my kids and I all had one, and you could change the ornaments up every year. Good luck with the job decisions, Ruby! Facing two good decisions is always a difficult one. It makes me think of that movie, Sliding Doors, where in one reality of her life, she misses the subway, and in one she makes it. You get to see how her life would unfold with each version. My dh was telling me that Jeffrey Archer’s new book does something similar. Looking forward to reading it.

Looking through the pics, I have to say the Millie’s sandbox is extremely cute. And the jack o’lantern seeds……I LOVE seeds! I let the garden grow and rarely harvest because I love to see the plants.
I also love the trees that you can decorate. I have so many unplanted ones because I can’t decide which combination of tree and trunk I like best!

I have another user (Littlenuts) but after all the joking on here, I decided to open a more regal account! LOL! I never thought I would open a 2nd account, but I’m really enjoying it! I finely remembered the helping paws code. I have helped four people open accounts but always forgot to give helping paws code! 🙁
Of course, now I manage ten accounts which is nothing compared to many I know.

I need to go rest because I have a cold and I have another online class tomorrow. My class tomorrow will be almost three hours and is with a different professor than the one I had today. The online class I had today was only an hour because this professor breaks up her classes into smaller groups and has each group meet for an hour instead of having each class meet for three hours. I’m not sure when I will be on again between my classes and work.

Dee- Millie is Molly’s little sister. Molly is a pig (Millie is also a pig) who appears in the W Tales stories in the Kinzville Times/books in the wshop.
Do they still sell those in the wshop? I feel like Kinzville should have its own library/bookstore. It could have an archive of all of the old newspaper front page articles in it.
